Flew home for Christmas. Because it costs like, $2 to take the train, compared to $12 a day to park your car at the airport, that's what I did. Of course the danger of using mass transit is that it means you're around the sort of people who use mass transit. So I'm waiting for the train when a black girl, maybe 19-23 arrives at the platform. She's followed by a...I'm not sure. Small-ish probably teenage Puerto Rican person, dressed like a man with long hair back in a ponytail and a pink floral backpack. This person is clearly agitated and confrontational and is being beligerent to the black girl. They seem to know each other and things seem more or less under control so I'm minding my own business. Eventually, though, Puerto Rican Pat whips off its backpack and coat and starts bobbing & weaving, fists up. Then he/she takes a swing at the black girl. At this point I say "KNOCK IT OFF." This ends that confrontation but winds up subjecting me to about 5 minutes of belligerent verbal abuse by Puerto Rican pat. He/she wisely didn't try to take a swing at me--or even get withing 10 feet--because I've have taken them apart pretty quickly. It made things further ambiguous though, by at one point saying I wouldn't dare hit it because it had tits but later telling me to suck its dick. I was also called a "wigger" because so many wiggers wear chinos, an A2 jacket, and a tweed driving cap. (Actually I later saw a black guy around my age in St. Paul, wearing a leather bomber jacket and a tweed driving cap so maybe Pat had a point.) Anyway, that's what happens when you have to do the right thing. And it could've been far worse, as this story illustrates: Children need to be instilled with a much more healthy respect/fear of adults IMO.
Children need to know that if they group assault someone like that, there is a good chance an adult will put them down. Permanently. If they don't know this by the time they're big enough to form groups, it is too late.
Too bad he wasn't able to go all Chuck Norris on their punk asses. One of the primary reasons theaters fail to get my dollars is simply their inability to police their property and the thuggery that has taken to hanging out there because their parents are eithier non existant or sitting at home too fucked up to care. Sure be glad when Batboy gets his meteor attracting ray tweaked.

Yeah that Iraq vet thing was sad, but not uncommon. I know plenty of grown-assed big men who won't "do the right thing" and address teens when they are getting out of control. One-on-one they could wring their scrawny necks, but kids today will kill your ass if they get the opportunity. A couple of generations ago kids had at least some respect toward adults, if only because they feared the wrath of their parents if they didn't! Worst case they at least feared the cops/legal system. Now the legal system protects juvenile delinquents. Case in point: an Army guy in Colorado Springs was at a public festival of some sort (been a while since it happened) and several young people were harrassing + threatening his wife + kids. He firmly but politely confronted the kids and things got physical. Law Enforcement got involved in the aftermath, and the subsequent investigation revealed that the soldier had drank two beers earlier in the day. His blood alcohol level barely registered, but it was enough for the legal tables to turn on him + pretty much end his career.
See, that's fucked up. Time to start wailing the fuck out of these brats, get them within an inch of bowel releae, and if any puss-ass motherfucker defends their thuggery, the citizenry mobs the courthouse and gives them the same. It's way past time to get society back the fuck on track, at the end of a scattergun when it's required.
I know this guy, he's got all kinds of guns but he never travels with them because he is paranoid about the cops. He got this rottweiler he puts in the back hatch of his little car when he goes to town. He's got one of them key fobs that you push the button and the back hatch opens( I think he added extra springs or something because it opens up all the way) and that dog comes a running to him. Dog has some kind of skull cap and a special kevlar vest. I would hate to try and rob this fellow.
I used to work with this older guy who swears nobody gets killed downtown unless they are out looking for trouble. :santa_huh: If someone gets jumped by thugs, it was because they started it. If they got robbed, they were in the hood buying drugs. The guy is also 6 feet 2 or so and about 250.....no shit you don't get messed with. When he tells people to chill out they probably do. Thus, he thinks these punks respect all adults. Not wishing him any harm, but I hope he does get his ass handed to him while downtown shopping or whatever....just to bring him back down to Planet Earth. Yesterday some guy got a pistol shoved in his face (broad daylight) for six dollars. He was just waiting for his friend to pick him up, and some shitbag decided to take the risk and grab and go. My hope is eventually he tries it again on a concealed carry shopper!
