OK, lets' add several hundred or thousand coal miners to the unemployment rolls in an area where EVERYTHING revolves around coal mining and drive up the cost of electricity. Obama - What a doofus!
The EPA's overreach will be remembered at election time, and hopefully the next Administration will help rein them in. Every single move the Obama has made on energy policy--every single one!--has done nothing to increase supply, lower prices, improve efficiency, or promote alternatives. They've done nothing but create massive amounts of uncertainty, and, at a time when we really need investors to invest, that's deadly. This Administration seriously needs to go.
Businesses can band together, to make sure Obama has plenty of egg on his face the closer elections come. They need to keep prices steady until a month or two before. Then raise the prices massively, along with a mail campaign telling everyone why they need to raise prices and the policy responsible for the increases.
This action pretty much kills the entire economy of Logan Co., WV. There's nothing else for jobs in Coal Country. Nothing. Everything revolves around coal. Want a job at Hardees flipping burgers? Sorry, without working miners in those areas, nobody has the money to buy the burger you flipped. Healthcare? Who do you think has health insurance? That's right: those miners. Hope and Change, bitches!
Obama is a fucking asshole. He is doing whatever he can within his power as President to make a tough economy even worse than it is right now. He seems to enjoy doing it too.
West Virginia is getting exactly what it deserves for supporting Unions and the Democrats. Not one bit of sympathy here. Lets don't forget here folks, WV is a democrat state and help elect Obama. Now they pay for the failure of reason.
Especially when its estimated that we have more than 1/2 a trillion tons of coal in the ground in the USA. That is a resource that we just cannot ignore, that is something that helps us give the finger to the middle east. Instead, its the same old game boys and girls, no matter what a politician tell you, they want you to keep burning that Iranian oil. They want to keep the middle east our central focus while they are fucking us from behind. America needs to be self sufficient with energy, no matter how it is derived.
I don't even know what to say. Who with even half a brain thought this would be a good idea? Oh, and who is John Galt?
Elections have consequences folks!!!! This is what happens when you hire someone for a job that is above his pay grade.
Taking into consideration the man has never held a real job, I'd say most everything is above his pay grade.
If I had any doubts that Obama's decision-making stemmed out of the goodness of his heart, it's certainly gone now. What completely backhanded bullshit. Anyone who votes for him a second time around deserves what they get.
Good decision by the EPA. The American taxpayer would be left holding the bag and have to pay for the environmental damage done by this ridiculous mine had it gone forward. Kudos to people like James Weekley who have been fighting this mine tooth and nail for over 12 years now.
My one consolation is that when your electrical provider runs out of coal and can't generate, your computer won't work.
The first shot(metaphorically speaking) may have been fired. A trillion-dollar missed opportunity – enough to pay U.S. deficit
Eh, what's a little subversion of economic prosperity, stacked up against fueling the self-satisfaction of deadbeat academic hippies?
I thought that Obama is in favor of using "clean burning coal"? Maybe the coal industry isn't cleaning their coal enough.

More from the arrogant gray man. I can't believe how fucking stupid the more than 50% of American's were when they chose to vote for this shit for brains fool in the White House.
You know. Obama is not a bad person. And I don't have much in the way of expectations of him. But can't he do ONE DAMN THING right!?!?
Unfortunately, at least so far, it seems like the Republicans are interested in running the same tired old losers they have from the past election. People like Huckabee and Palin. Neither are slimy, or pretty enough to win against someone like The Obama.
I saw in the most recent issue of National Review that the odds of an Obama reelection are currently put at 57%. Of course, then again New England and Atlanta both got an early exit from the playoffs this years. As did the two SuperBowl teams from last year. So upsets are quite possible.
Ummmm, WV voted for Hillary in the primary and voted McCain in the general election. WV may vote democrat, but Obama really isn't in the least bit popular down there. One of the reasons is that Obama flat said he was going to bankrupt the coal industry. He's keeping his campaign promise.
