Dude misses his connecting flight in New Jersey. Because he has a gun in his luggage, he goes to jail for 10 days and it takes him 3 YEARS to get the gun back:
Yeah. I don't think there's an amount of money you could pay me to take a job in New Jersey. I'd fucking commute from Virginia.

Every ambulance chaser in Utah and New England is probably calling him up about suing the airline that left him in that situation.

I know I'm never going to a pistol range again. My own state gov't has me more scared of them than I am of the theoretical burglars that I theoretically need to practice for.

Anger would be the appropriate emotion here... not fear.

Hmmm,. big law suite = more $$$ for more guns. That could be a half assed decent consolation prize.

When you retire, load up your wife and dog and get thine ass to live near your parents. Your retirement checks will go further and your winters should be nicer. Then shoot to your hearts content. Oh and leave a huge steaming pile of shit on the NJ / DE border on your way out.

Shitty and outrageous, but I would never consider trying to bring a firearm when traveling by airline.

Then again, at this point it would pretty much take a firearm to get me on a fucking commercial flight. I would rather drive cross-country in my battered old jeep and risk breaking down somewhere.

Oh, I'm angry, and letters have been sent to the governor (who seems much more sympathetic to gun owners than the last five governors). But I'm unwilling to turn my life upside down to become either a crusader or an example.

So move. If the laws are that shitty and intolerable, and you know you can't change them, find somewhere else to live. You're making a choice between your retirement and your liberty and you're chosing a comfortable retirement plan.

Betcher ass, pal. Six years from retirement and 30 years in the job? You'd stay too.

Then quit bitchin' about it. You chose chains over finding a job somewhere else a long time ago. You'll get no sympathy from me, patriot.

You know, there are days I really hate my state. I ought to move back to Ohio; I would too, if I could take my job with me.
