    Optical drives are dead. They are a waste of space. I don't even want one in my next laptop. If the need ever arises to use one I can always get a USB external optical drive but I haven't used the one in my laptop in the last year and a half.

    Yes, it would be so much better if the display's touch input was resistive, instead. Like touch displays were 20 years ago.

    Yes. This is why I won't buy a Blu-ray player. The sooner these things die, the better.

    That said, there are still some games from less-than-enlightened gaming companies that require a DVD drive, so I imagine I'll have to hang on to mine for a while until everything is available for download.
