The article on the film is fairly brief, and doesn't really do justice to the trailer. Nope. If the film is like the trailer, then its going to be an exceedingly brutal deconstruction of Sarah Palin.
I dunno, the trailer seems to suggest John McCain is a piece of shit (just like in real life) and they took advantage of an unwitting Palin. And boy is she unwitting (just like in real life). Woody Harrelson seems out of place in any movie that takes itself seriously. I consider his pinnacle achievement to be Kingpin.
Yes, that's exactly it. It has nothing to do with her being an intellectual lightweight with a penchant for vengefulness and cronyism. No, no!
So, she's only what her worst critics think, then? Just another "Republicans-are-the-bad-guy" hit piece from liberal Hollywood.
No, her worst critics say she's a snowbird with a penchant for some chocolate lovin' on the side. Let's get the scale right here, at least.
Was it as big a deal when Obama toured all 57 states? Politicians almost as a rule are morons -- but it's only an issue when they're conservatives.
Get your facts straight, or you can never be president. Obama did not tour "all" 57 states. When he mentioned having visited 57 states, he said there was one left to go, and two he had not been allowed to visit. I'm not sure if that makes 58 states in the Union, or 60...
What's funny is that is probably the nicest thing one could say about Obama, yet should HBO do that to him, the outcry would be enormous. One might I supposed substitute intellectual lightweight for no common sense, but the point remains.
Any honest film based on governor Palin and the 2008 election would not flatter her detractors or validate their behavior.
Love HBO series, but their documentaries have generally tilted left on a regular basis. I wouldn't expect this to be a unbiased portrayal.
For a brief moment in 2008, she generated enough hype to almost take down the loving, tender Saviour of the needy left. If you remember correctly, they were absolutely terrified that His ascension to ruler was about to be halted. Who would take care of them? Who would guide them through the valley of the shadow of responsibility? The whole experience left them deeply scared to this day and probably for all eternity. This will never end.
As opposed to the conservative obsession with minor figures like Jeremiah Wright, Van Jones, Cass Sunstein, Bill Ayers, ACORN, Tony Rezko, etc, etc.
As an attractive, professional woman (cue WF haters here) I don't think Sarah palin is a lightweight. Clearly not. She was on a presidential ticket. I just disagree with her. Who has a tendency to say things that make no sense to me. I'm sure they make sense to her.
Are you kidding or stupid? HBO provides some of the best shows on television on a consistent basis. Doesn't seem like this McCain thing will fall under that category though. It's always hilarious to see Americans argue about Palin though, so bring it on I say.
Well, when our POTUS is close with convicted terrorists, extortionists and criminals that should be a major issue to be examined.
Sort of. It's important to those that aren't inflicted with the entitlement mentality. The drains on society have an equal lack of character that makes sticking their heads in the sand and pretending it isn't important easy.
I agree. And I'm satisfied with what's been revealed about these people, specifically Ayers and his connection (or lack of) with President Obama. The others, though? Conservative hobgoblins, all of them.
Well, Obama has lied clearly about his relationship with Ayers, but I'm far more concerned with Rezko and his numerous illegal activities in Chicago.
