I'm engaged!

    I guess I forgot to post it here, but I got engaged last month. We've been dating for 16 months, and I decided to do a big public proposal in front of all her friends and family (after making sure we were on the same page relationship-wise).

    Wedding is going to be spring/summer next year, and next month I finally get my Lechon I've been looking forward to since she told me about them (she's filipina). We're an odd couple, complete opposites, but we are very good together. I also wanted to give hope/encouragement to the nerds out there;

    I've been single most of my life. Altogether, the time I've been in all my other relationships combined is less than 7 months. I met my life-mate at the age of 28, she asked ME out (because I didn't think a short, quiet, asian girl would want anything to do with me) and 2 weeks later we were officially a couple, and 6 weeks later we were officially in love. Its not always been an easy time, but I committed myself to staying a virgin til marriage (10,836 days down, 377 days to go) but it can be done if you do it for the right reasons.

    God gave me a good woman who quoted Dr. Henry Jones Sr on our first date, and I really never wanted anything else. :D

    Expect many 'crazy mother-in-law' stories. I've been engaged 4 weeks, she already bought centerpieces for the reception without consulting us. Those will now be used as decorations for the engagement party.
