I always liked this guy. When I was a kid, it seemed like he was ALWAYS turning up (usually as a villain)... Some highpoints of his career (from my perspective): Star Trek: The Next Generation (Baran) Hunter Airwolf Invasion U.S.A. Galactica: 1980 Buck Rogers in the 25th Century The Seven-Ups (saw this recently and noted him in a prominent role) He was never the leading man, but he always made a strong impression. Vaya con Dios, Richard Lynch.
I know that this will sound like heresy to many folks, but I always thought that he would have made the best Hannibal Lecter (I thought Hopkins was cartoonish in the role).
Damn. He's one of those guys who was in everything for a while, it seemed like. Always did kinda like him.
Read this and was going to post it in the the character actor thread from a few months back. I think Lynch, along with John Quade were the bad guys in all the tv shows I remember watching in the early 80s.
I remember him now, from this ep...yeah, he was pretty good. Had a smoky, Ian McShane-like voice, if I recall. I always wonder when I hear someone like that if they do an voice work, like audio books or something. This guy and James Sloyan are two I could listen to for days.
I was just watching him in Trancers II over the weekend. One of Lynch's flicks that I've always wanter to see again was a made for TV movie in '75 or so called Vampire, which was pretty good as I recall. Well I'll be damned, found on the You Tube! [YT="Vampire"]0AM6HOSBShw[/YT]
