I still think it's funny that Asian people prefer to refer to themselves as Oriental. God forbid we get mixed up with the dotties or those sloppy faced vodka guzzlers.
If you look at the facts instead of whatever you've been reading in Mother Jones or whatever, you'd know that Clinton added more regulations than he ever undid, and that Bush 43 was the worst, adding more regulations than anyone since FDR and until Obama. Bush 43's term was full of new regulations on business. Don't believe what you read scrawled on poster board at Occupy camps.
I use the term celestials to differentiate your superior stock from the Mongoloids, dot heads and east Caucus peasants.
We either move on to Mars and the rest of the galaxy, or we die here on this little rock when something bad finally happens. End of line.
This nonsense has been debunked more times than BD's ghost-hunting. Of the loans that went awry, something like 2% of them were covered under the Community Reinvestment Act.
The fact that he's citing 1977 - and pretending nothing at all happened between then and 2008 - is a much an indication that he's simply trolling as the constant use of the smilie. Gotta give him points for consistency, though. All those years away, and he comes back with the same trolls. This one's no less heavy-handed than the pretense to hyper-misogyny.
And it certainly had nothing to do with the banks getting filthy stinking rich handing out loans to anybody who walked in the door while selling the risk to someone else once they were out the door. Obviously was Jimmy Carter's ghost on a 30 year fuse walking up to them forcing them to make all the money.
Not to mention, all of storm's argument requires that the real estate bubble only have happened in the US, which is patently false.
Storm:you're like a breath of pure O2 and your blog has been long overdue. As for Garamet's passive-aggressive, manic-depressive, left-wing BS, everyone here has twigged and duly ignores it. Don't make the mistake of getting roped in. Welcome home, brother.
Used up all your adjectives there, didntcha, Mr. Everyone? Storm's capable of intelligent discourse. He doesn't have to hide behind your kind of standard-issue
Right, then. I'll lay back and enjoy watching you get pwned in every thread, although we don't really need Storm for that. He just makes it more fun with his singular wit.
The biggest buckets need to be addressed first. Military is an easy target because you see the waste so openly. Social security is something we pay into that theoretically we will get some of back when we retire. The problem there is that that money is being robbed by congress to pay for other things like wars all over the world. That's why social security is not a target of the cuts. From a logic standpoint we should cut waste and correct the social net so it doesn't run out or if that's not possible it should be scrapped. Edit: posted from a phone and didn't realize the size of the chart.
Funny you used that kind of expression - our dear President Obama doesn't believe in "American exceptionalism", he apologizes publicly for the concept, and strangely he's embarrassed by it on the world forum. What a putz. And pretty lame for a supposed "leader." Leadership by mediocrity's a tough a nut to crack, at least we confirmed that.
OPf course it's fucking worth it. It's goddamned Mars! We should be living on that bitch by now, Babylon 5 style.
I should be living on that bitch right now, selling real estate futures to all you fucking Earthworms begging to follow in my wake!!!! That plus Marso's oxygen service, fuel service, rover and dome repair service, bagpipe services (funerals extra), p-suit repair and ballistics computations LLC. Oh yeah. Plus I'd be selling future on geothermal taps and investing in subsurface ballistic tube transport.
Not so much Cohagen as John Galt- I'd never deprive the mutants of air. (Provided they could pay the market rate. TANSTAAFL, eh...)
