http://www.nytimes.com/2012/08/16/u...den-leaks.html?_r=1&smid=tw-nytimes&seid=auto Bunch of has beens and wannabes taking aim at The Guy They Don't Like because he ordered the most impressive and efficient military operation the US has pulled off in years.
I read a piece on swift boating this morning, in the UK Guardian no less... http://www.guardian.co.uk/commentis...t-romney-disgraces-barack-obama?newsfeed=true
The Obama SuperPAC ad might be full of lies, but it's not the same thing as insinuating that the Obama Administration killed Bin Laden "wrong." As for the SuperPAC's....hey, corporations are people, my friend.
Yeah, okay. I'm sure someone would come along and use your greatest accomplishments as a weapon against you, but you don't have any.
Shit, thats what happens when campaigns are based on how much money you can get and what to spend it on when it rolls in. America, please enact some kinds of laws that mitigate the problems caused by your presidential campaigns having access to hundreds of millions of dollars. This SHOULD be a complete anathema to anyone with half a brain, its basically using up massive amounts of money and only producing unutterable pointless shite of the highest order. Your elections would be so much better if every candidate was limited to a few million top in campaign funds. They might even try to get elected because they actually deserve it
Obama getting credit for the Osama hit is like Nixon being credited with the moon landing instead of JFK.
Difference: I'm not an elected official. If Obama was a message board troll instead of a lying, malicious fuck who occupies the White House, I wouldn't give a shit what kind of mindfucks he rolls out. Time for you to shut the fuck up.
Who credits Nixon with the moon landing? I mean, maybe if Kennedy had spent seven years pissing around landing on the moon, then declared that landing on the moon wasn't important, then Nixon got into office and authorized a spectacular and flawless landing...maybe then you'd have a point. Or you'd just complain about the pronouns in Nixon's speech.
He has lost any creditability with me with his most recent contempt charge. Should he ever decide to man up and face the music I may reconsider but I'm not holding my breath. The only directing he needs to be doing is traffic in Chicago as far as I'm concerned.
This ain't swift boating. There are a shit load of people in the special operations community and other groups that are plain out pissed off at the way the President has blow operational security in the name of trying to get political points. It's not an issue so much of him taking credit so much as he is taking credit by exposing information in a manner that blows operational security all to hell, thus endangering others who put their asses on the line every day.
The SEALs have a valid reason to be pissed off. OPSEC is extremely important for them, as its the only thing keeping their families safe. These are guys putting their ass on the line every single day in countries where they're not even supposed to be. The Obama Administration should at least have the courtesy to shut the fuck about anything they do.
Yeah, I remember when the same people were just as upset about Valerie Plame. Wait... I keep hearing that, but then 99% of the actual criticism I see is about him taking too much credit. And I've yet to see any proof that operational security has actually been compromised.
Regarding Plane, look at who blew it. IIRC it wasn't the administration. Planet was also not a field officer. Still not cool, but a world of difference from this. The president, in his desire to look cool and like a tough guy is blowing OPSEC on CURRENT operations all on a desire to increase his chances of being reelected.
About damn time this bird came home to roost. Good for them. If His Majesty wasn't such a fucking narcassist who thinks everyone around Him serves to make Him look better, He wouldn't have this problem. Notice how quietly the Bin Laden capture movie disappeared?
Ever see President Reagan's [GOOGLE]Tear down this wall[/GOOGLE] speech? Well the Berlin Wall did come down, David Hasselhoff performed and everything but by that time President George Herbert Walker Bush had been in office for years. Had President Bush taken credit it would be like President Obama taking credit for winning the war on terrorism.
OOHHH. I thought it was shelved. At least they had the goddamn decency to push it back to after the election. I bet they got some mighty juicy classified shit so they can properly praise His name. Time to find out how juicy.
