Protester dies after inhaling fumes from burning American flag http://www.foxnews.com/world/2012/0...er-inhaling-fumes-from-burning-american-flag/ America, FUCK YA
Yeah...and we expect these fuckers to watch our six when we're in their country? Again, that trust equates to how far Steven Hawking can throw a grand piano.
Maybe if the Islamic world would have translated a science book into his language (or if he could even read) he would have known about toxic vapors. Day late and a dollar short as they say!
You don't actually think Dan Leach gives a shit about his country, do ya? He's British, after all. British is the new French.
And if the creationists were to have their way and excise science from school curricula, Americans could soon give the Islamist world some competition in the Dumb & Dumber Olympics.
Dan and Chup both seem to forget or ignore that the radical Muslims would just as soon kill either of them for being British as any of us for being Americans. One of the attacks in the last few days in Afghanistan was an attempt to capture Prince Harry. Regardless of how they feel about the relevancy of the royal family to Great Britain's government, those radicals were out to capture a British citizen and play him like a trump card. Then there was the 2005 London bombings.
Flag-burning is a legitimate form of protest, of free expression even. Ironic that the ostensible defenders of free speech take such glee in this event.
I'm probably one of the most vocal defenders of free speech and expression on this board. I'm also one of the most vocal defenders of flags, including the US flag, as symbols of nations. I'm also one of the most vocal opponents of any acts that are disrespectful of flags, Bibles, or Korans. That said, I'll also be the first poster on this board to defend your right to burn a flag, Bible, or Koran. Now, can you point out where I've taken any glee in any of this?
I kind of like this idea. I think flag burning is protected free speech. But I don't approve of it. So we should just make our flags of something so toxic that it will kill anyone who burns it. The only hole in my plan is that burning is also the appropriate way to retire old, unserviceable flags. I don't want a bunch of dead Boy Scouts and VFW geezers.
