Ok, can't really start a candlelight vigil until we know who's head has exploded as a result of the election result.

Every 4 years we have a few members who go AWOL for a short time after the election, who is it to be this year? Whats your bets

    Who hasn't checked in yet.

Early frontrunner would be expected to be Maud as he's been priming it for 4 years, but theres sure to be a few emerging from left field.........

What say you WF, who is going for an unscheduled holiday??

    A long long time ago
    I can still remember how
Wordforge used to make me smile
And I knew if I had my chance
That I could make those trolls dance
And maybe they'd be happy for a while
But election day made them shiver
With every vote that was delivered
    Bad news on the doorstep
I couldn't take one more step
    I can't remember if I cried
When I read about all the goodbyes
But something touched me deep inside
    The day the Republicans died

    So

Bye, bye you bunch of cunty guys
I hope posters like Sokar just dry up and die
Them good ole boys were drinking Budweiser and rye
Singin' this'll be the day that we die
This'll be the day that we die

O'rly? Though yeah you guys will prob bore me soon with your crying over Obama...

If Obama had lost last night, I am pretty certain a few of those in his kool-aid drinking brigade would've been crying too hard to show their faces here for the next several months at least.

I see nothing but apathy from most of the right leaning posters here. Mitt Romney doesn't generate a whole lot of excitement or loyalty.

BTW, you're responsible for running off Liet again. We only have room for one village idiot and Turdin is all over it. Liet's day has passed.

You're like Kryptonite to that guy.

Wouldn't be surprised to see a big portion of our second-tier right wing trolls (sandbagger, skrain, TR, mlong, etc.) take a powder. Along with Muad, who's desperately needed in 1865.

    Me.

Not that it has anything to do with the election, but I'm leaving for Madagascar tomorrow, as I always do at this time of the year. I'll be gone for about a month, most of it in places where there is no internet access and never in a place where I'll be willing to take the time to visit WF. I might look at my most urgent e-mail during the coming weeks a couple of times, but that will be it.

Of course, I didn't care enough about the Obama-Romney race to vote for either one of them. Since I don't believe Romney would have been much better than Obama (if any), I just voted for Johnson. So since I was sure I was voting for not only a losing candidate, but a candidate who would lose by a landslide, I can't exactly say I'm devastated by the results. Obama will be disappointing, Romney would have been dissappointing...

I think I'll just go see how the orphanages in Mada are coming, and what other needs I will come across in the remote places I will be visiting. Four weeks with almost no politics will suit me fine.

Maud, Sokar, Enlisted, Sandbagger, and a few others come to mind. We should form a watch list to see who slinks off hoping everyone else forgets how completely wrong they were about, well, everything.

Muad slogged through eight years of Dubya. Why would four more years of the SCFOAMF run him off?

Well he's not posted for more than 2 days. Thats not a long holiday for most of us, but given he has >50k posts, an average of 16 per day then its quite possible his head has exploded.

PS, no idea what SCFOAMF is.

I can figure out what "CFOAMF" is (Cluster-F*** Of A Miserable Failure), since a number of posters use it regularly. Is the "S" for "Supreme"?

    Guess I don't know exactly.

    Yes, that's it!

What's ironic is that it takes longer to write out "the SCFOAMF" than to write "Obama"...

Follow up (even though quoting yourself is so Diacanu...):

I'm on my way. See you in December. Behave yourselves.

Ok, I knew I couldn't say that with a straight face. Flame, troll, talk about how you'd "hit it" to your heart's content. But at least try to have fun doing it.

Rep was what ran him off. Since then all he does is drop by for an occasional "Here I am posting one of my three favorite memes." Kind of like you, only you're the imitator; Muad "invented" it first.

Sorry for bumping an old thread (and reminding everyone of fighting about the election results instead of fighting about guns, which is a topic so much more interesting) but I just wanted to say, for Mrs. A and anyone else who's interested, that I have started posting Madagascar pictures. Some people have seen the thread already, but since there is a lot more traffic in the Red Room than in the Green, I thought I would mention it here.

That thread, and following ones, will be updated regularly over the next couple of weeks, other than a few days between Christmas and New Year's when we will be going to Germany to visit with the family of our son's fiancee, and then to Switzerland to visit my wife's parents.

Dendroica left after Bush was elected.

I was just wondering if the "Oh, hai! We is a very friendly message board! No trolls here, nope, nope, nope" campaign was working.
