Beyonce's show was fine; I liked the surprise Destiny's Child reunion. I thought Alicia Keys' take on the Star-Spangled Banner was very well done, very classy. I don't like it when that song is "over-sung" or jazzed up too much.

Even though I like alot of Pop, I'm not into Beyonce. That doesn't mean she doesn't have phenomenal talent as a singer and dancer. That Single Ladies video deserved every bit of hype it got.
Look, Beyonce Knowles is a great singer, no doubt about it, but as a performer, she is simply not in the same league as Freddie Mercury. Well this isn't the most exciting observation about Beyonce ... but one thing you can count on, her lyrics are clean enough to blast in the car with kids of any age. And tweeners love her.
