Dayton didn't reveal where he worked. He tried to troll me into releasing his personal info to get me warned. Except he fucked it up royally and I ended up getting staff approval to release the information anyway. He shouldn't play so fast and loose with that sort of stuff.

I was the first mod in that thread to tell Chad he wouldn't get warned, and there is no need to rehash all those arguments again.

There is a difference between posting as a staff member and as a poster. As staff this thread is within the rules (unless Lanz uses his discretion). As a poster it's fucked up and I think less of El Chup for it.

What I find the most ironic here is that one of the major complaints about Dayton is that, despite his obviosuly anti-social behavior and attitudes, he refuses to change no matter how many people point out to him that that is not a good way to act. He doesn't even appear to give their opinions any serious consideration.

Now, I have no problem with that being said about Dayton; it's spot on, and it is a problem. A major problem.

But the incredible irony here is that, despite the huge number of people who have pointed out that this thread and a few other things are really over the top, El Chup not only does not show any sign of changing his behavior, he doesn't even seem to be giving serious consideration to what they have to say. About the only ones who have backed him up are people like Zombie and Chad, who are also known for their mean streaks. Almost everyone else, left, right and center, American, Canadian, Australian, British or whatever, thinks this is not good.

But he reacts to that exactly the way Dayton does. And then goes right ahead condemning Dayton for reacting that way!!!

Most of you had no problem ripping Dayton3, justified or not, over his job, his life, his beating his wife and everything else you could think of. It's one thing to troll and flame other posters here on Wordforge for your amusement. It's quite another to post shit to interfere with their real lives.

Dayton is responsible for much of the abuse he receives from other posters, and seems to enjoy the negative attention. God knows I've given him my fair share of abuse for some of the things he's said and done here. But he's also perfectly capable of standing up for himself and dishing it right back. He's not as obvious in his trolling as others, but make no mistake about it, he loves to troll.

All that being said, when push comes to shove it is absolutely NOT acceptable to go after someone in a way to effect their personal life. Dayton could be a nice guy in person, or be the insufferable twat he pretends to be here. He's still a person with his own life, and we have no right to interfere no matter how you feel about him. What happens on Wordforge needs to stay on Wordforge.
