I see no difference in those killed in an explosion, or those allowed to die because people thought prayer, rather than medical science was the answer. I've got no problems with the US bombing the crap out of Afghanistan even pre-9/11. What I do have a problem with was our invasion of Iraq in '03. Saddam was a Grade A assgasket, but posed no threat to anyone outside of Iraq. Had we gotten Afghanistan to a democratic state and capable of managing its own affairs, I'd have entertained the notion of the US invading Iraq.
