Jousting in the neighbor's back yard! There were four bucks vying for the corn my neighbor puts out. Two were younger and stayed back while the two older ones fought. The six-pointer won the right to get the tasty corn first. Yum!
Walk about a mile downhill, cross the Ramapo River, then another half mile up the next ridge, and look back: Yeah, would have been nicer with the colorful leaves, but I only make this walk when I have a week off. It's maybe 100 foot sheer drop to that guy's porch in front of me, and behind me there are more houses maybe 50-75 feet higher. Heck of a nice view to live with. Unless you're the poor plebes down below there.
A rare and wonderful thing - my sister's three kids got together for Thanksgiving with all their kids. This group has never been all in the same place before! My sister is the old lady standing 2nd from left, and her kids (all in their 40s) also standing, youngest to oldest, Eric, Kristen and Ed. The kids seated are Ed's two boys with Kristen's daughter between them. The wee ones on the ground are Eric's three, withe Ed's little girl 3rd from the left. My sister's marriage may have sucked, but she sure begat when she had the chance!
Like SHOOTER said, fundies. My best friend growing up was one and while he wasn't deep into it his parents were.
Latest build - Northrop came up with the F-20 in the 1970s as a potential lightweight export fighter to sell to US allies. It was an upgraded F-5 with a single huge engine, and its performance was just about on a par with the F-16. Northrop spent $1 Billion of its own money developing it, and no one wanted to buy it. Three prototypes were built. This is Freedom Models' new 1/48 kit as it may have appeared in Taiwanese Air Force markings, with a shitload of air to air missiles. Made the decals myself on my Alps printer.
I loved the Tigershark. I mean that thing just screamed "hot rod" to me. IIRC, in a one-on-one the Tigershark outperformed the Falcon in most areas.
Assembly Of God.....not to be confused with The Church Of God or even The Church Of God In Christ (but that's more of a "black" church around here.
Two things: First, I go over all the panel lines with a very sharp mechanical pencil. Defines them, plus gives them a little graphite shine. Then on the lines I want really dirty, like under the engines, or fuel caps and service panels, I do a pin wash with my favorite new Mig dark brown wash, and let it bleed a bit. You can see that effect on the aft underside of the F-20. A little wiping and streaking helps too, plus some pastel shading or a streaked black tempera wash.
I had that on facebook for less than an hour before Nocturn of Vladimir Jazz photoshopped me in front of a burning city.
