Newflash, Cheeto: if you're in line when the polls close, you still get to vote. No matter how long it takes.

So why do they get to show up two hours later than anyone else and still vote?

Note that they said the polls would remain open an extra two hours, not that anyone in line would be allowed to vote even if it took two more hours.

Let me guess, the voters who are showing up late are black democrats.

Probably Hispanic Democrats, but the larger point is that they aren't showing up late at all. Nevada election law requires that anybody in line at closing time must still be allowed to vote. I'm pretty sure most states have such laws, as they should.

If the polls close at 6:00 PM, you need to get in line by 6:00 PM to vote.

But if they say they'll keep the polls open till 8:00 PM in one area with a particular ethnic profile, what does that say? Obviously that people can show up after 6:00 PM, when polls close for everyone else, and yet still vote.

That lets them see how many extra votes they need and start stuffing ballot boxes.

I've been wondering for a while whether Trump would get a general election endorsement form the New York Post, and we finally have confirmation that he won't. The Post held out to the bitter end, but Trump never gave them the excuse they needed to be able to endorse him.

Concerning my prediction that we will never have another Republican president (thus reducing our two party system to a much more streamlined one party system!) because the math dooms them:
the electoral college system gives the Democrats a built-in advantage - an advantage that can only grow with future Democratic victories. Bottom line the Republicans have to overcome obstacles & "thread the needle" while the Democrats just have to show up. So the Democrats are starting the 100 yard dash with a 20 yard advantage. Discuss!

Polls close in Indiana and Kentucky in 10 minutes. Both should be safe Trump states.
