There were also a whole lot of whores looking to protect their "abortion as birth control" rights. I think @Jenee was among them.
It would depend on the reasons. Yeah, if it was Obama was a 'Kenyon' then yeah, I'd call them racist.
Our SJWs keep neg repping that post but I went to the local protest here yesterday and it was mostly butt hurt about Trump's win. Sure, you saw a number of different signs (I had a thread on this topic) but overwelmingly the signs were about Trump and the loudest chanting was "dump Trump" and "love trumps hate". If the protest was supposed to be about women's rights then the vast majority there seemed confused about that fact. That is just the ackward reality on the ground.
Such stirring arguments, @Ancalagon . Just neg reps with no counter arguments at all. Did you also go to the rally, like I did, to see things first hand? Yeah, didn't think so.
Here in Augusta we had a "sister march" in solidarity with the "women's march" in DC. About 600 people or so here . Atlanta had a "solidarity march" which was women & racial minorities & muslims, etc. which is smart because guarantee combine these groups and it's a much bigger march than just a women's march.
Oh, it's been clear all along. If Miss Jones marries Mr. Smith and you disapprove of the marriage I'm certain you continue to refer to her as Miss Jones, not Mrs Smith, don't you? You're as much a Christian as you are a billionaire.
I know that cliche too. Played the "I'm just a humble servant of Christ" card a thousand times, all the while being an arrogant prick about it. Just like 90% of the folks I went to church with. You're song and dance isn't impressing me at all. The whole "let me tell you that I know what's best for you better than you do" bullshit is nothing but arrogant authoritarianism from people who take satisfaction in looking down on people. You for instance.
Am I telling you how to live your life? No, I am not. I'm simply not going to placate you when you're asking for validation. If you don't want to hear a dissenting opinion don't yell "Yay! Look at me. I'm a girl!" Please.
On here? It doesn't affect me - it's only a matter of "see an asshole, call him an asshole" - honesty and all that which you claim is what motivates you. In the world, it affects virtually every aspect of quality of life. The problem you have is that you wish to elevate your opinion to the level of fact. The reality is that people like you are uncomfortable with facts that conflict with your traditions and so you have to pretend the facts don't exist. Church history is a long string of "godly" folks making the same mistake over and over again. It's nothing but a cult of ignorance.
And the rest of use are not going to placate you when you come on here practically begging for validation with every post.
you are being deliberately assholeish when it's unnecessary. I've often said out in the real world, I will never complain is you don't call me "ma'am" - just don't call me sir. The former is you exercising your right to "not affirm your delusion" or ever how you want to phrase it - the latter is being a deliberate asshole.
there were literally thousands of pages of specific policy positions on her site and she spoke of them at sometimes boring length in public But America went with "We'll have a plan, the best people, it will be great, because I'm like really smart and everyone says so" Good try on the gaslighting though
not normally, but in this case, YES! Trump didn't have plans, at all, his plans were "we'll come up with plans and they'll be great. He did have a rudimentary tax cut plan, but on the vast majority of promises he had nothing but a simple one or two sentence claim: "We'll build a wall!" How? "Trust me, it will be a great wall, the best wall." "We're going to get rid of all the illegals!!" How? There are 11 million of them how does that work? "Deportation force!" What? "Trust me!" on and on, no matter the subject. Even IF one were to mistakenly say that Clinton had no detailed plans, that certainly does not logically lead one to say "so I'll vote for Trump" because his plans wouldn't have bee satisfactory to sell himself as a potential mayor of a small city.
Conservatives: "I need my guns in case the government needs to be shot at!" Also Conservatives: "You broke a window, your entire point of view is invalid"
she lost RURAL America - badly. That's not necessarily "middle" America ans the word middle could refer to different things.
which is pretty much exactly the same as the folks, right up to the white house, saying "no one every undermined Obama's legitimacy" There's a lot of that sort of shit going around. There were, in fact, plenty of folks saying Obama wasn't there president over the whole last 8 years who pretend to be offended by that comment now...and a lot of folks who were offended by it then but are saying it now. Neither side has any high ground on that sort of shit.
Of course, there's the third rail of folks who think that it's valid - or invalid - either way. Which is my thinking. But by that I mean on the shared values thing. Someone who says "Obama's not my president" because, say, abortion? Okay, whatever. Say that because of the birth certificate shit and you're just being a moron. To make it personal, I fully believe that Comey tilted the election and that combined with other factors taints the outcome - but he DID win by the rules that are in place so he's the president. He's my president. But his administration does not represent anything that's good for the country and so I'll constantly bitch about it. My constant bitching, however, is not me saying "he's not my president" but rather "he's not fit to be president"
and for the record, I do not approve of violence or destruction of property as a form of political protest in any context, as it is counterproductive to whatever cause you are trying to advance. I understand where the temptation comes from but the smart play is to rise above it and restrain yourself. (I might have to make an exception for Spencer getting slugged though, if it was just for being a reprehensible person and not as a political act)
Clinton did have plans. She also has a long political history. Not enough people liked them enough to get her elected. That's that.
It doesn't matter if the point of view is valid or not. You don't go around breaking other people's shit because your side lost an election. Especially when those other people have nothing to do with what you're mad about.
simply demographically speaking, it is perfectly reasonable to assume that every person who marched yesterday did in fact vote and vote for Clinton. Minority women went overwhelmingly for Clinton and among white women, the balance was tilted by the Evangelical whites, which went heavy for Trump - but who were home baking cookies yesterday too.
Trump and his cronies plan to damage a lot more than some windows. You'll excuse me if I don't get too worked up about protesters getting a bit rowdy at this point.
