False, any refugee- from any country - who wants to enter the US has to face extremely extensive vetting. Which is why halting all refugee entry into the US does nothing to make us safer, and instead plays into the narrative of IS and other groups that want to make it appear as though the US is at war with Islam at large, and that Muslims cannot coexist with anyone else.

But people focusing on the substance of Trump's order are missing the point. What happened over the weekend was the first move in a game being played by Steve Bannon the goal of which is nothing less than the total destruction of democracy in the United States.

Actually, this is one area that justifies some modest degree of hope. If there's one thing Donald just loves to do, it's fire people. Now he's stuffed his cabinet with Captains of Industry like Tillerson. When the entire world -- and hopefully enough US citizens -- fail to stop telling Donald to Fuck Off, perhaps he'll be forced to fire some of these creeps, i.e. throw them to the dogs à la Nixon.
