So... Is Trump actually trying to start another war for Israel?

Given the statement "if X therefore Y," Y will never occur if X is never true.

And, in the vanishingly infinitesimally small possibility that you ever did become President (the government took a real beating if the line of succession is all the way down to Arkansas substitute teachers/coaches), you probably wouldn't stand much chance for re-election by alienating tens of millions of Catholic voters.

Not to defend Dayton, but yeah....there are places that accept a BA for teaching. Although most, like CA, want you to have a degree in the subject you teach.

But you'll get no argument from anyone here that Dayton is by any measurable standard a "teacher"

Yes, but you need to take some secondary education courses and those are not in the business management curriculum. Not to mention there is a bit more to it than just being licensed. The school is not going to get funding for some dumb schmuck with a business management bachelor's degree. There are actually courses of study which tell you the basics of teaching. It just would not be in a business management curriculum and Dayton is full of shit.

I wonder if chup knows he sent money to an internet con artist.

We're talking about Arkansas, not a civilized part of the world. Having more than one tooth and a family tree with at least one branch on it is probably enough to qualify you for a teaching gig in AR.

Yeah, it wouldn't even be able to get social security or live with one of the elderly Jews in a gated community down in Boca.

I say the whole thing is none of our business anyway. The US should just back out of all of these matters and we take our people home and give them time to sort their shit out. We should just declare it a place full of too much bullshit and be done with it. We will never do that because we have corporate power interests caught up in that area, but it sure is a lot of hassle over someone else's bullshit. We have our own problems to fix.

If you're going to make the argument that Israel can't claim it as the capital because for a few centuries the number of Jews living there was very low than you must now support it being the capital because clearly a lot of Jewish people currently live there.

The argument that this hurts the US as a neutral 3rd party between Israel and everyone else in the Middle East is a false argument anyway since it's rather obvious that we support Israel. We've never really been a neutral 3rd party.

The other argument that this makes getting peace harder is also a bad argument. Hamas and the PLO do not want peace. They've had ample opportunity for peace. So fuck them.

Other countries might make a stink about it but no one cares.

And honestly right now most of the Middle East doesn't care at the government level. Saudi Arabia is openly working with Israel. Not in secret like it normally does but out in the open where everyone can see it. They are working together to fight terrorism. Ten years ago Saudi Arabia would have never openly said such a thing, It would have denied it.

Most of the Middle East is now realizing that there is a true threat out there. It isn't Israel or the United States. It's Iran.

You'll see a few protests. A few diplomatic guffaws and than it will be over.

The Middle East countries are going to have to accept that Israel has Jerusalem and short of killing all the Jews they will always have it.

    :wha:

Israel is our greatest ally. You have no idea how much they do for us. Apparently no one here does. The least we can do in return is grant them the respect and aid due to any race who reclaims their ancestral homeland and installs a peaceful ethnostate.

No, that is not how logic works. If X is never true, Y is irrelevant, and the whole claim is always true. Y might well occur though.

I didn't make that argument. I refuted the ignorant claim that it always had been the capital.

And that doesn't follow in any event. A lot of Jewish people also live in New York, yet nobody is talking about that.
The status of Jerusalem is disputed, and should not be finalised until there is a comprehensive agreement. Otherwise this is just another land grab.

Who are "most of the middle east" and what is the evidence that they "realise" this?

Did you even listen to the announcement? I don't think you did because he specifically said recognizing the reality that Jerusalem is the capital of Israel does not change the status of east Jerusalem nor that its status has to still be decided.

Whatever. The point is that Y will never happen as a consequence of X if X never happens.

Yeah, he meant "Y if and only if X" (or "Y iff X" for the cool kids reading this), and that's what he should have said. :async:

It takes real talent to alienate Muslims and American Jews simultaneously:

When It Comes to Jerusalem, Trump Needs to Learn How to Share

Yes, it's an op-ed piece, but the writer is credentialed, and the publication (est. 1897) is reputable. The thought is that this is a ploy to distract from Russia, the tax bill, et al., and to pry-bar Roy Moore into the Senate.

You just don't move an embassy overnight. It's not like they are packing up stuff in boxes and driving over to Jerusalem and renting office space.

They've got to build an embassy first.

That takes a bit of time. So right there the authors words are crap.
