Okay I didn't but they are still head & shoulders above their competition (their competition being my kitchen) in omelette awesomeness. That said 3 killed, 4 injured when a naked man shoots up the joint. I'm going to go out on a limb here & say it wasn't the first time for Waffle House. Hell it probably wasn't the first time at that location! http://www.foxnews.com/us/2018/04/2...ng-leaves-3-dead-4-wounded-gunman-sought.html Being naked and all, I wonder if he said "say hello to my little friend" Scarface style and some people were confused. Randy Newman wrote a song about it.....here it goes! BTW the guy in the "Good Old Boys" album cover looks like Charlie Sheen!
Violence is pretty common at Waffle House's due to the hours they are open and being a common destination for heavy drinkers after the bars close.
so being naked and homicidal might be (on rare occasions of course) linked to alcohol abuse? Color me skeptical.
Waffle House is a gun free zone. Tennessee law gives any permit holders who were there and disarmed due to their posting the ability to sue Waffle House.
You mean a naked bad guy with a gun was stopped by a good guy who had no gun? So you don't need a gun to stop a bad guy with a gun? Maybe we should make sure all awful house employees are armed from now on because then that will stop the violence, said no one ever because that is stupid.
Poodle is just mad because he wanted to naked shoot up a TN waffle house because Memphis tore down statues of his traitorous scummy ancestors. I was wondering if this was him at first but then I realized he would shoot his eye out first.
Apparently, the suspect was arrested by THE SECRET SERVICE for being in a restricted area NEAR THE WHITE HOUSE last year, and his guns were seized by the FBI...and then returned to his father who gave them back to the shooter.
Then we need to throw his dad in jail for murder. Sorry, but it should be very public and a warning for any guntard who facilitates a person who should not ever have guns getting them. You give a gun to a crazy dude who shoots up the town and you are on the hook with them for their crime.
So, a courageous black man confronted the crazed shooter and wrested the weapon away from him, likely preventing more deaths. Lucky the killer didn't decide to target a Starbucks, the black hero would have been arrested for trespassing.....
I don't know about this case, but your property cannot be permanently taken or destroyed without due process.
If you cannot maintain control of your own property and prevent its misuse whether it be a vehicle or a firearm it should be destroyed forthwith. With ownership comes responsibility.
The police probably will not destroy seized items they can use or sell for profit if the court decides they can keep them. Given they can sell them or offer them to the department or state I doubt most guns are destroyed.
Ah yes. Law enforcement enrichment through forfeiture. Next to the militarization of the police the thing I hate most about many local law enforcement departments.
I will agree that forced destruction of non returned property from seizures would make a dent in the stealing of property through seizure laws. Perhaps the gun manufacturers would support it considering that a seized weapon would have to be replaced by a new one creating demand for more production. They have a pretty big lobby that might help there.
Heard on my local news station: "Coming up: A gunman opens fire inside a Waffle House. Learn about the man who wrestled the gun away from the assailant, and why he is being called a hero." Um, because he wrestled the gun away from the assailant. Seriously, who the fuck writes this shit?
Probably the same kind of people who wrote that the space shuttle orbiter Columbia was traveling 18 times the speed of light when it broke up.
really? Then we are really kicking Russia's ass in the "space race"! I bet their shuttles can't break 10 times the speed of light. Oh, wait, they use the metric system - fucking cheaters!
you're saying that TN law allows a private business to trump state open carry law by simply posting a sign? That seems difficult to believe. That said, the fact that dude had had his guns confiscated and his dad gave them back to him anyway pretty much puts the spotlight on where any liability will lie.
