Gosh, it's almost as if a person's actions can inform someone's assessment of their character! Who would ever have imagined?
Okay if "leftnuts", are so paranoid, walk me through how everything will be a-okay. That women and LGBT people won't come to harm, and Trump won't be given the power to pardon himself, and the wall of church/state separation won't be eroded. Should be a snap for a genius like you.
I see one slip in there: Trump's lifetime of crime and corruption is not also a lifetime of corrupt campaigning, because he only started to get into politics a decade or so ago. Beyond that, name any falsehoods you see, it'd be interesting -- especially considering you are on record as welcoming, with open eyes, the destruction Trump brings because it will pain liberals to see the US so damaged, and that you feel the only way to rehabilitate the GOP is to have the next Democratic President be equally corrupt.
Oh I love to see liberals in pain (when are they not? It's kind of their thing) but as for Trump bringing destruction? That is open to interpretation. As for not being fairly elected the Electoral College wasn't just created in 2016. The game hasn't changed for many years.
Perhaps, but not for you, since you've admitted and even celebrated it several times. The Electoral College has very little to do with the election fraud Trump is accused of.
Okay, we'll see how committed you are to this principle. My grandfather died in 2012. Laugh. My mother almost died in 2011. Laugh. And again in 2016. Laugh. Come on, yuk it up, big gut shaking chortles. So even the deaf ones in that back can hear you. *Stares* C'mon.
I’m not talking about whether he’s guilty. Im talking about whether he’s fit to judge the guilt of others. A speech like the one he made would disqualify anyone else from a jury.
He's been a judge for 12 years on the 2nd highest court in America. No one in that 12 years has ever complained about his fitness to be a judge. He's not a robot. He's human. He was being smeared as a rapist, a drug user, a gang rapist, and a drunk. In front of the whole damn country. He has every right to be mad and make that speech. Fuck you for thinking he has to sit there and be smeared like that and not fight back. Your argument is invalid because his 12 year history of already being a judge does not show a person who is unfit to be a judge. If it did I think we all know the Democrats would have been playing that card. Go whine about something else......
Why do you like to see people in pain? I don't understand that. Who takes pleasure in watching others go through pain? It doesn't matter what side you're on, or anything like that. I don't want you in pain, I wouldn't want Trump in pain. That's just sadistic. When did you realize you wanted people to experience pain? When did you discover that you enjoy watching people suffer?
Can't really argue with that. If he's so unfit to be a judge, why hasn't anybody said anything in all the years he's been a judge?
Because we didn’t know it before. Can you imagine this argument working in any other context? “No, I’m a great school bus driver, in 12 years I never once drove a bus load of kids off a cliff (other than yesterday).” “In 12 years, except for yesterday, I’ve never driven 95 in a 25 zone. Please don’t take my license.” “Look, I’ve been alive 35 years, and in all that time I’ve never robbed a bank. Okay maybe there’s a bank robbery I shouldn’t have done yesterday, but why didn’t anyone bring it up in the last 12 years?” “I’ve been fair and level headed for the last 12 years, and okay, maybe I said some anti-Semitic things I shouldn’t have when I got pulled over, but that doesn’t mean I hate Jews!”
Suppose you were interviewing a prospective candidate for an important position, one that required sound judgment and emotional balance, someone who had to be clear headed, and focused while on the job. Now suppose you ask that person "how much alcohol do you believe is too much?" and their reply is "I don’t know, uh, you know, whatever the chart says — uh, blood-alcohol chart." When you follow up and ask him how much he has drank, his response is "you’re asking about blackout. I don’t know, have you?" You have five other candidates with similar qualifications. What is the likelihood you're going to hire this candidate?
How is “interview to become a Supreme Court justice” not sufficiently relevant? If a tape of the White House came out and he was telling Trump “don’t worry, I got you covered”, that’s not in the context of actively judging either, and I’d hope you’d see that’s just as unacceptable as telling his perceived enemies, “what goes around, comes around” in his Senate testimony!
I agree that his outburst is problematic at best. I've said as much in the other thread, but how do you weigh said emotional outburst against a 12 year judicial record?
That wasn’t an emotional outburst. He wrote that speech the night before, slept on it, and decided “this is a fine speech to give”. Not a panic, not a moment of frustration. It was calculated.
Personally, if I ever went to a job interview, and the hiring manager started accusing me of a bunch of heinous stuff, I'd just tell them to fuck themselves and leave.
Seriously? He wrote that bullshit beforehand? With the Clintonista conspiracy theories and the backhanded threats?
