Well, fans of his writing, probably won't care, but for fans of '80s horror flicks like me, the great news is that this greatly under-rated slice of B-Movie cheesy fun is finally getting a disc release! I saw this on Amazon not long ago, and could not jump on the Blu-Ray fast enough. It's chock full of all sorts of special features, and as someone who's only seen it on VHS back in the day, (or on You Tube), it's finally in widescreen! Can't wait for my copy to show up later today in the mail!
Watched this with some friends Tuesday evening, something is wrong with the 5.0 soundtrack, but the vintage track sounds fine. The movie holds up well, the creature effects still look cool, and Carter & Howard are still entertaining as hell. Well worth seeing if you're looking to visiting the 1980s again.
