Phil Collins has been living in my head for a while now which has been pleasant enough, but now I think it's time maybe he left, so I'm binging him this morning and maybe he can live in your head now? Also that is some severe tonal disconnect between how I hear the lyrics and the music video. But look at the lady in the streetcar window at 3:40, someone's shooting her daily commute for a music video and she's just amused by it all Such a unique sound that he adheres to, so it's startling when I find out he sang something else that I know like "That's Just The Way It Is" or "Another Day In Paradise"
The volume on Cornbread is a little low - crank it up and enjoy hearing the band CRUSH this song into oblivion!
background on this song: I just sent on a weekend trip out of town and my wife forgot her CD collection (break my heart) so we had to listen to the radio. Anywho this song came on a couple of times - definite ear candy! I found out it's in that movie trailer with Steve Correl as some brain damaged guy or something. side note the drummer looks like one of my son's good friends! Anyway, enjoy!
Not real crazy about a group that calls themselves "Tenebrae" (Darkness). But, I can't find fault with their translation in Latin of Psalm 51.
YOUTUBE PLAY GLORIA (seven out of the first ten results for Youtube Gloria on Startpage are now Laura Brannigan)
This guy won a Grammy for his theme of Civ 4 (The Lord's Prayer, in Swahili, of all things). So, as someone who is taking classes to learn ecclesiastical Latin, this work is great.
Ran across music by this Russian girl, I don't understand much of what's she saying, but I like it. The first and second are the same, one's a video and the other is at a concert From the same concert You don't really want to know how I came across her music, I'll just say I doubt she got royalties from it
wow! I was pleasantly surprised by this. Unique melody & rhythm. Some cool sounding harmonics too towards the end of some of the phrases.
There was this comment on this video. "I show this to angry people on the internet. They stop being angry." I thought Wordforge needed that
YES! 33 years (count 'em) of searching and I finally found this song! Backstory: when I lived in Phoenix I used to tape (cassette) a weekly radio blues show. This song was one of my favorites, but eventually the tape got worn out or destroyed or lost or whatever. I couldn't remember the name, but I remembered the lyrics. So I'm on youtube checking out some Memphis Slim teamed with Nat Murphy, and searched "Lonesome" since this was a major theme of the lyrics. Sure enough, I found it! Like to hear it? Here it goes!
you didn't finish your sentence! I think you meant to say "Holy fucking shit this vocalist is gargling Drano and roofing nails!!!"
