By the next day we'd worn the batteries out. Still have mine, and AFAIK it works better than my Color GB, which has wonky sound after being dropped a few too many times.
I had one, more accurately my brother and I had one. We earned the money for it. I think it's still around here somewhere.
I dug out my old GBC and Pocket, both speakers were dead. Same with another GBC I got my hands on. It's pretty common for the speakers to die.
there's also a separate, common issue with the GBC where you need to replace the capacitor near the speaker otherwise it's very quiet. Also happened on the two GBC's I replaced the speakers on.
