I remember my brother and I got a Game Boy apiece for Christmas, along with four games. By the next day we'd worn the batteries out.

Still have mine, and AFAIK it works better than my Color GB, which has wonky sound after being dropped a few too many times.

I had one, more accurately my brother and I had one. We earned the money for it. I think it's still around here somewhere.

I dug out my old GBC and Pocket, both speakers were dead. Same with another GBC I got my hands on. It's pretty common for the speakers to die.

Replacing the speaker is pretty much the same fir the GB and GBC.

there's also a separate, common issue with the GBC where you need to replace the capacitor near the speaker otherwise it's very quiet. Also happened on the two GBC's I replaced the speakers on.
