Rolling Thunder, Linebacker I & II do not fit the definitions of carpet bombing. Certainly not of population centers. I remember reading an analysis of the Vietnam War air campaigns back in the 1990s and it said that roughly 97% of U.S. bomb tonnage in the Vietnam War was dropped on rural areas.

you never know! I'm sure I told the story before of when my wife had her full-blown mental breakdown in the summer of 2017 and thought that the actual son-of-god jesus in the flesh (or maybe in the spirit in his case) was fighting satan in a non-title lightweight MMA fight on our motel TV . She was cheering for jesus but I don't remember who won. I think it went the full three rounds though.
The whole month was a blur of wacky shit as her mind did a 180 and went full-speed into town.

Portland has got to step things up. They have to make a confined peaceful protest area for both sides far apart from each other. If you are peacefully protesting then you are in your approved area. If you are protesting outside that area you are a rioter and are arrested. The police should be instructed not to make any decisions and that they will be fired and charged if they participate with either side. They simply arrest anyone outside their area and let them defend themselves in court. Any weapons present means you are there to riot, and you are arrested and charged.

Neither antifa or the Nazis are the police, and neither are given power to police or confront the other side. Therefor they are rioters if they are pretending to be the opposing force fpor the public because they are not. The police and government have let this shit get way out of hand by playing with both sides. Thy have been caught working for the nazi side and they have been allowing the nazis to harass and intimidate locals, which has lead to antifa trying to play police, and that has turned into antifa mostly being there to fight in the streets. At this point if you are showing up on the antifa side you are showing up for a fight.

By having two separate areas far apart from each other you give everyone a chance to say their words, and showing up outside of those areas means you are making a move towards fighting and that is not permitted. The police and town have to get their act in gear.

I can understand why antifa feels the need to confront Nazis running around threatening people, but that is a failure of the police and town. Now this shit has to end. The Police are the ones responsible for keeping the peace. The town should have restricted protests to a smaller area. The Nazis have a right to have their chants and signs. That should have a defined public area at this point. The town did not get control of an offensive group. There has to be a public place for these protests, but that does not mean they wander all over town intimidating and harassing the general populace. You put them in a public park, and you tell people if they don't want to see this then go someplace else for the day.

When you had certain nazis wandering around town doing illegal things you invite their opponents to start fighting because that is a riot. At this point both sides know the town is letting things be out of control so both sides are attracting people who want to get into a giant brawl. I am all for saying antifa people are showing up for a violent confrontation at this point, but so are the Nazis. It is time for the town to stamp it out on both sides. You cannot have the cops coordinating with the Nazis to go after antifa. We know that some of them are. That promotes a distrust in the police and lawlessness. The town has got to make a public example of the police and monitor their communications to prosecute and fire police who work with the nazis or antifa. The police have to be on their own side and controlling both sides.

This is what happens when the authorities allow too much crap to go on, and have bias and prejudice. It would be the same if the police were caught working with antifa to bust the nazis. The town needs someone strong to root out the Nazis in the police, and to crack down on the fighting on both sides. One of the first steps should be any non-local caught making threats and arrangements for violence in town is given over to the TSA and busted the moment they step off a plane anywhere in Oregon. If I made a threat to harm @Tracker and then booked a plane ticket and took a flight to arkansas where I have no business at all, I would be arrested. I made an effort to make good on that threat, and I would have to answer for it in court. It is time to track and bust both sides of this issue given that is what the patriot act is for. Neither side has any business flying across the country to be in portland that day after making online arrangements to cause trouble.
