Seriously though I don't think Epstein would be dumb enough to have proof of all the shenanigans unless it was his own legal escape plan (naming names) if he was ever implicated.

I think if we look at how many criminals and how the trump people seem to be recording everything, I think the normal common sense of the situation goes out the window when you have to worry about your own people selling you out. I think in the criminal mind it is more insurance that everyone gets blood on their hands so everyone goes down which supposedly gives them incentive not to talk. That is also reinforced by the knowledge that if you get caught the prosecutor will make a deal for evidence. I would think in a way that doubles the value of recorded insurance in the criminal mind while in reality it probably makes things worse.

I know when I got caught on my identity theft thing they were all over me trying to offer deals so I would rat out who I was working with. The Secret service had a long talk with me until they realized I had no accomplices and the only reason I got so far was because of insanely lax security at TWC and not because of any great involvement with criminals. There had to come a point where they realized it was a stroke of luck I had no criminal contacts because had I sold the numbers there would have had a much harder time dealing with things. About that time was when they tossed me down to the CT state cops and then the only thing that saved me was I was white and could defend myself with a lawyer. I don't think anyone wanted my crime to become news because it is so damning to TWC that they allowed customer information like social security numbers to be shown to the lowest workers in the call center, and even to foreign contractors. I have always wondered if the reason my name is not overly available is because people would have a fit if I was famous for it.

At any rate, I never thought about protecting myself from other people because I never had other people involved in my crime. I have seen other people not want me to know about their fraud because I chose not to get involved in it.
