Here's the deal. The coronavirus originated in Wuhan. Wuflu rhymed. It was silly, but in normal times (about 10 years ago before people went mad), no one would have given a fuck.

It was named COVID because China* squawked about a place-name being used. These are the bastards who hid this (the government, not their innocent citizens before some jackass throws the racist card) for months, making it worse for the rest of us around the world. And now they're trying to finger us as the originators of the virus? Um, fuck that politically correct bullshit. I'm not enabling China's totalitarian regime and if that offends, well I offend all the time, so add it to the list.

The Chinese government's actions figured into it plus the knowledge that more often than not, place-names ARE used. Ebola anyone? Lyme Disease? Lassa Fever? GERMAN measles?
