Karen Gillan is gonna be female Jack Sparrow, and Chloe Grace Moretz is gonna be female John Wick. I mean, not literally, they're spinoff characters, but still. Cue the screeching Youtubers that FF will agree with with no critical analyisis. Y'know, it occurred to me in the BSG thread, isn't it funny how Katee Sackoff got in under the wire before Nazi-tube told everyone that the human vagina is a dimension porthole to the gates of Hell, and she still gets grandmothered in as cool? It's funny how that happened. I mean, I'm glad it did, Katee is awesome, I'd just rather not the Nazi troll part after.
Feminist Dayton! Feminist Dayton!! *FF winner rep* There, I stole their shtick. Now Lubak and FF don't have to....exist, really.
As far as I'm concerned, Chloe Grace Moretz was already a female John Wick. Nice to see her using her action movie experience to make good.
I'm dubious about a Pirates movie with anyone--male or female--stepping in for Johnny Depp as the main character. Hell, even the last couple he made are pretty forgettable. I like Karen Gillan, though, so...maybe. Certainly I can see Chloe Grace Moretz as a John Wick-like badass. She's done it before. Serve it up. Let's see.
There’s so much to unpack here, but I’m not going to bother because it’s pointless. The thing I will address is the Youtubers comment. Just because someone makes a YouTube video that happen to agree with doesn’t mean that I haven’t used my own critical analysis. I really don’t understand why YouTube videos aren’t to be taken seriously. Is John Campea the only valid critic on YouTube? What is inherently bad about Youtubers? If there were a video explaining why TWOK is the best Star Trek movie, which there are, and I agree with that, that doesn’t mean I didn’t use my own critical analysis to come to the same conclusion. You don’t believe I’m capable of it, @Diacanu, challenge me. Give me a movie to analyze. I won’t watch or read any review ahead of time. Preferably one I can watch for free that’s available on Netflix or something. I was thinking of rewatching the Star Wars prequels, but I’ll gladly accept something else. Perhaps something I haven’t seen before.
Dickynoo can only wish he had the talent to make YouTube videos that others would want to watch. He's an autistic loser who's spent his life in his parent's basement, pretending to be a blogger and scribbling out stick figures he thinks are comic strips. It would be interesting to see him attempt it though, if only for the cringe factor. As for the value of gender swapping films, it's pointless to argue with screeching SJW-types. You have to vote with your wallet. I wasn't interested in the PoTC films after the third one, and I'm certainly won't be interested in plunking down money to see Pirates of the Cooterbean. You'd have thought that after the dumpster fire failure of Ghostbusters 2016, Charlie's Angels, and Wonder Rey the Mary Sue Jedi, Hollywierd would have learned their lesson. But no, it's no longer a business with a goal of making money, it's a PC-indoctrination cult whose members want to use entertainment as a platform to lecture those they view as lesser life forms.
Coming back to WF after leaving in a huff - again - makes you look like such a bitch, so i have to say welcome back bitch
Going by the tl;dr, I’m guessing Dicky doesn’t want an actual debate and just wants to troll. And troll about what, some movie news that he provides no link so we have no clue what it’s about?
After thinking about it for a few minutes, the idea of Dickynoo trying his hand at YouTubing has quickly become intriguing. I wonder if he'd try for a Harry Knowles kind of persona (minus the sexual creepyness behavior?) C'mon Dickynoo, let's see if you've got what it takes. You couldn't be any worse than some YouTubers out there.
And in other gender swapping news @Diacanu becomes his own bitch after posting this attention whoring thread.
Nothing. What is bad is dumb YouTube videos, as well as pointing to dumb YouTube videos instead of arguing your own case.
The videos show you the point I'm trying to make. It's easier to show you rather than write several paragraphs that people won't read. If I want to show you why I think Alex Kurtzman is a terrible writer who doesn't bother to re watch past episodes in order to fit canon, wouldn't it be easier to find an interview with the relative information and post that video than write a long diatribe that's people will just mark tl;dr and ignore? Again, just because some fan out there did the work of making the video doesn't mean I don't agree with it or that I haven't thought about the same thing. I don't have video editing skills and equipment to do the same, otherwise I would.
Doing something easier does not equal laziness. It's easier to use a meat slicer to slice deli meat rather than slicing it by hand. That doesn't make someone lazy if they use the slicer.
You're using someone else's slicer. If you just pulled your bootstraps harder, you could afford your own slicer.
