Trump's still refusing to say if he'll wear a mask when he visits the Michigan Ford plant, despite it being company policy and the state AG urging him to. https://edition.cnn.com/2020/05/21/...ney-general-trump-ford-plant-cnntv/index.html So I say, have him greeted by a bunch of folk coughing. Let's either see how quickly he puts the mask on or get live footage of the POTUS running like a bitch back towards Marine One. Either will make an excellent Biden campaign ad. Meanwhile, fucker's still pushing the idea he won Michigan Man of the Year despite the fact 1) Michigan doesn't HAVE a Man of the Year award and 2) no-one else knowing what the fuck he's on about, except maybe Dave Trott, who says he gave Trump a bunch of gifts after a "rambling" speech but definitely not MOTY, since it doesn't fucking exist. https://edition.cnn.com/2020/05/21/...ump-michigan-man-of-the-year-again/index.html
Oops that curve is getting erect where before it was flaccid. Wonder how this'll go... Here's the old graph from the previous post:
https://www.cell.com/action/showPdf?pii=S0092-8674(20)30610-3 “40-60% of population that have NOT had SARS-CoV-2 already have activated T Cells to the virus“ Last time I heard about T cells activating Worf started spitting acid, Barclay turned into a spider and Deanna troi morphed into a frog
Trump "not wearing a mask because I don't want to give the media the pleasure" That went well. He wore one inside and the press had this in hours:
I am not a psychologist but for the life of me I can't figure out why Trump thinks that being seen in a mask would "give the media the pleasure". It's not like the media will think any less of him. It won't really be a "gotcha" moment because he never claimed it was wrong to wear a mask. It's common courtesy to abide by the rules (or guidelines) of whatever facility you are visiting to show support/solidarity for their mission and that nobody is above following & respecting the rules and authority of the HMIC of that facility. Damn even high ranking military officers play the "when in Rome, do as the Romans do" when touring or visiting varying locations. It's "Leadership 101" and I assume it applies to civilian leadership as well as military.
It's California! I'm amazed that their suicide rate isn't off the scale regardless of the COVID lock down! If this is accurate & true, it's very sad and unnecessary. According to Garamet the lockdown only means selfish people can't get haircuts. There are no other negative aspects of the lock down. People have the rest of their lives to work their way through their pile of unpaid bills, what's the big rush?
Oxford epidemiologist: UK should exit lockdown more quickly. https://news.yahoo.com/coronavirus-scientist-quicker-exit-lockdown-072039855.html
That argument would play well in a nation not fucked up by decades of capitalist fuckwittery. Americans have been taught that profit is more important than lives/rights for their whole lives. Except the right to guns. Because nothing makes someone want to buy something more than telling them it'll be banned soon.
I've decided the stock market likes it either way. Reduce a non-consuming segment of the population (older fixed income types). Large swathes of costly labor laid off. It's a win win for the markets.
So let me get this straight - according to Matthunter the U.S. is fucked up by decades of capitalism. So what again is the economic system of England? Matthunter (for example) doesn't want to make a profit in his chosen profession? Does he negotiate with his employer to get his pay reduced? That's an interesting concept. Just sayin'
https://thehill.com/policy/healthcare/499058-doctors-back-trump-push-to-quickly-reopen-the-country 600 actual by-god went to medical school doctors think we can safely reopen the country? Wait...were these doctors vetted by our resident experts on the evils of capitalism The Night Funky and Matthunter? And does the U.S. even have 600 doctors not named Fauci? This sounds fishy to me!
Did you see this part of the article? I don’t know about you, but if my doctor said that AIDS wasn’t caused by HIV I’d be finding another doctor immediately.
What part of "some of the doctors" did you not understand? "Some" would imply a smaller percentage than "most" last time I checked.
Indeed, but if an organization isn’t throwing such people out, that raises a few red flags, don’t you think? We’re not talking about a subject that’s a matter of opinion, we’re talking about something that is quite literally life and death. Given your recent experience, how would you feel about the hospital you went to if the doctor they assigned to you opted for “healing” crystals over the care you got? Would the qualifications of the other doctors in that hospital really matter to you? Would you just shrug it off?
Actually, I'm firmly of the opinion that people in my pay bracket should pay more tax, and I consistently vote for parties that will make that happen. One option mooted to reduce layoffs at my employer recently was a pay cut, which I was also in favour of. And under no circumstances do I consider my salary worth someone's life. Now, don't forget to work the shaft while you're down there.
