Frum is actually Canadian, a former advisor to President George W. Bush and quite conservative.

I can't believe there are still "conservatives" and Republican Party members in Trump's camp. What does Trump have on them, or are these people actually just evil and/or incompetent?

I know lots of people IRL who call themselves conservatives and think that Trump's the greatest thing ever.

I really, really don't get it.

Mary Trump's book claims Fred thought Donald was an idiot but recognized that he had the skills as a salesman since lying and charm came easy to him, traits Fred himself lacked. So he wanted to use Don as a frontman.

Sounds exactly like the GOP. Only they CAN lie. Charm, OTOH...

It certainly contributes to it, but I put even more blame on Facebook and people sharing literal fake news from Breitbert and such. :jayzus:

I wasn't aware of that, I'm not on Facebook. All I know is that my stepfather is a Trump supporter and listens to talk radio a lot. He repeats a lot of what they say. I'm guilty of it too, but I try seek other sources of news as well. I lean in that direction on certain things, but I still think Trump is a moron and the Republican party is a nightmare. I'm so glad Justin Amash left them. I thought it was possible for libertarians to infiltrate the party and change it from within, but even Rand Paul is turning out to be a dirt bag.

As I've said before, scratch a "Libertarian" and under the surface you'll find a fascist. You've bought into a lot lies and fallacious thinking. It's good that you're willing to re-consider your thinking, but you have a lot of work to do.

As far as the SCOTUS ruling is concerned, it just reaffirms my belief that it's up to the voters to correct their mistakes. That's NOT the job of the courts.

Actually, considering part of the right wing propaganda machine is in all out slaughter Trump mode they could use the typical "suggestion" method of attack. Dems are sucky at this, but right wing propaganda are masters at just making shit up that a candidate then needs to either ignore or fight against. If trumpo cannot produce his tax returns it gives all GOP never trumpers an open area to make huge suggestions about what trump is hiding. That does effect some people. They just need to do to trump what they do to dems and claim he is a secret muslim kenyan who makes most of his money on child sex rings run out of trump towers, and that is what he is hiding in his tax returns.

The only real question is will their suggestions be worse than what trump is hiding.

On the one hand, hey New York, how about ending qualified immunity for police officers instead?... But on the other hand, this one (and the one in front of the White House) is something that could actually get under Trump's skin. Though he can't visit his building without quarantining right now, so maybe it's a wash.

I saw a number of idiots claiming the WWW was the brits and nothing else. The ignorance of twats. The internet was around long before the WWW and to even claim the internet was the WWW on an app like twitter is ignorance on a trumpian level. WWW is not the internet. Some of us remember the days when the web did not exist.

Just goes to show how shitty he is at the real estate game. After a natural disaster hits, you can scoop up land for cheap, because people are desperate for money (especially if they're uninsured). Lots of stuff has already been torn down, or will have to be torn down, so there's less of a hassle when you decide to put in your strip mall or casino, or whatever. Greenland's not had anything comparable happen to it, so you'd be paying a premium, just to buy the land, let alone put up hotels, etc. A smart operator would have worked out some deals to get power back to the island quickly, brokered a bunch of land deals with people so that Puerto Rico could be pitched as a tropical resort as inviting as the Bahamas, without the hassles of international travel, and all the comfort and safety as the Good Ol' USA. While quietly skimming money from all the operations without anyone noticing that the President was enriching himself.

There are two kinds of green Donnie Boy understands - the kind you stuff in bank vaults and the kind you play through unimpeded (if you own the course). He saw the word "Greenland" on a map somewhere and his lizard brain lit up with endless possibilities.

Qualified immunity is a federal court-created doctrine (although there may be some state law equivalents), and there is not much that New York could do to end it other than lobby Congress to do so.

The fun thing about Monopoly, it was created by a socialist woman, and it was as a warning against robber-baron capitalism.
We've been playing it wrong all these decades.
And the Parker Brothers were thieves.
