I have been staring at PA since y-day. Biden was trailing by 600.000 votes.
At this moment right now it's 150.000 and closing.

If this election tells us one thing it's that politics really is a game of intelligence. As in, sane people vote from afar because there is a little pandemic going on. Right wing sheep huddle together wherever they can and spread it like there is no tomorrow (for some there won't be after those idiotic Trump rallies).

I know this effect even without Covid going on. I have never seen it in such extremes though.

Actually, I've been thinking more about this and have decided that you are absolutely right. It is not appropriate for a whole state like Michigan to vote Biden, when in fact Michigan is deeply red, other than the Detroit area.

So Detroit should be split off, and made into a state of its own.

Same in New York. Upstate NY is pretty red. Only the NYC area is really blue. It should be split off, and made into a state of its own.

Let's do the same thing with Illinois, Georgia, Florida, Texas... let the red areas vote red and the blue areas vote blue. Ten or fifteen new states, carved from the urban centers that are causing otherwise red states to vote blue, would be a much better idea. So let's do it.

And look at the EC then! :D

Without getting into a :nana: type argument, because this thing is not over yet......

What do those who vote for Trump think of the scenes we are seeing where Trump supporters are campaigning outside count houses in one state demanding all votes to be counted, but yet in other states they are demanding all counts stop?

@Paladin @Tuttle and anyone else who is a non silent Trump voter, honestly would love to read your take on the above.

I wonder how the guys on CNN keep up their excitement after what, 72 hours of non stop coverage. I am getting exhausted and I just have it running in some browser tab while doing other things.

    Ah well.

    Blow, probably.

I think that for some CNN reporters this is personal. Trump has personally targeted and vilified them as individuals.

They're loving every moment I would imagine.

I hope they keep a watch out for him at the airports, just in case.

Wouldn't it be ironic if he got picked up by the TSA whilst trying to seek asylum in another country?

Goddamnit @ed629 . You said to meet you on peachtree. Where the fuck are you? Fuckit Ed, I'm heading out. Atomic batteries to power... turbines to speed.... I'll swing by the fucking Big Chicken in about 20 minutes.

GA is still very much in play. This tells the story of counties that still have large populations, large numbers of absentee votes still to be counted, which are largely for Biden.

    Columbus - Fort Benning
Savanna - Hunter Army Air base

    Military is voting against trump.

When I was in the Navy most people voted in their home state by absentee ballot. I don't know very many people at all that registered to vote in the state they were stationed.

Maybe folks in the Army and the Air Force do it differently.

Which is reasonable given how much Trump shat all over the decorated officers he had in senior positions.

Something i always wondered why @oldfella1962 @Paladin and co never seemed too bothered about...... :?:

We continue to see the results of Republican led legislatures refusing to allow election supervisors to count mail ballots before Election Day. Some pundits think this will be rectified for future elections, but I doubt it. They will probably make vote by mail even more restrictive.

Why is it taking so long in Nevada? The vote count has not changed at all since yesterday. Are they all drunk at the casino?

Many military people retire in those same areas - look at old fella. My father-in-law bought a house in the area around the base where he was last stationed knowing he was going to retire. When I was in, I knew a guy bought and sold his house every time he was re-stationed. I had a PO box and registered to vote in every state in which I was stationed.

Yea, a lot of people vote in their home state. But, a lot of people don't. And, you still can't deny those areas are surrounding military bases.

IIRC, the requirement is that you show up at the polling place, not that you actually vote. Whether you get any bbq if you show up, but don't vote is something I'm not sure of. :chris:

Yep. The Commander-in-Chief and President of the United States of America, the man who swore on a bible to protect and defend the Constitution, just asked for the perfectly legal election process to be stopped.

    @Paladin is overjoyed.

CNN is actually my preferred American news source. Fox is good for a larf, MSNBC is Fox from the other direction, and OAN is fuckin' hopeless. I also regularly check in with BBC World News, Al Jazeera, and Reuters. Sometimes Bloomberg if I'm bored.

I didn't make the chart - and there are other similar charts out there. Some put MSNBC lower, from the yellow down into the orange.

I personally wouldn't have Vox or Daily Beast in yellow, but I don't really read those ones anyway, so I could be wrong.

However, if you review all of them, they all show AP and Reuters at the top in green. And that is always my go to for news.
