I heard someone on Facebook say that Trump might be using his legal challenges to the election as leverage to get clemency for his crimes as president.
I'd love to see him be punished for his presidential evil, but failing that, there's enough leading up to 2016 to get him on.

The good news is NY will probably charge trump being the state is blue and they have no problem holding him accountable. It is good for the federal dems because they do not have to pardon him and can pretend like their hands are tied. We know Biden is a cowardly craven republican operative and would have pardoned trump if he got a traffic ticket. Now we just have to hope Biden and Obama do not pull a power play and try to force NYC to drop charges. I think they have done enough for the republicans, like giving them a chance to win by powering Bernie out of the primaries.

But you never can tell how far team Clinton/Obama will go to help out the republican party.

Also he moved to Florida, changing his state of residence. What I find disturbing, is that Giuliani is his current lap dog. Why? This is a guy who brought down John Gotti. Could Trump have more on his plate?

In theory, Trump could attempt to leverage his voluntarily conceding that he lost and an semi-orderly transition for some sort of off-the-books agreement that state and federal authorities drop any probes into him. Either that or risk such things as a) Trump continuing to fire up his supporters with the notion that Biden stole the election b) Trump using his last two and a half months in office to do some serious scorched earth shiznit, both literally and figuratively and c) Trump telling his Pround Boy buddies and everyone else of that ilk to step up.

According to people who worked for Giuliani, it wasn't he who brought down Gott, but the people in his office. Giuliani was only interested in getting the credit. The saying goes "The most dangerous place in the world is being between Giuliani and a TV camera."

Giuliani is a media whore. He was giving away a lot of his efforts. It gets him on TV. He likes fame and is no longer fit for political positions so he inserted himself into the spotlight.

trump had a bunch of those people who he brought in. With past presidents there was always this sort of vetting shield where the party tried to make sure the loonies were kept at a distance. Trump did not use that. For that reason you got a lot of people who just want camera time in the spotlight with him.

Clinton's malfeasance was basically an adulterous affair that he lied about to cover his actions from his wife.

Trump's issues are several orders of magnitude worse than that.

I'd be shocked and appalled if they cut him a deal. It would legitimize everything he did to gain the presidency, and all the laws he broke while he was in it.

It's time to start discussing things with people like Tillerson that publicly stated on camera that Trump routinely asked him to do illegal acts.

It's Deutsche Bank, the worst money launderer in recorded history.

Trump's debt probably already IS owned by the Russian mob.

And that's not a good thing.

    I hope Biden doesn't strike a deal.

I realize that the alternative is potential chaos and violence, but you cannot stand down from evil. Allowing Trump and his ilk to skate in the hopes of temporary peace sends the wrong message.

Strongmen do not concede. Because all that erratic behavior, the SCREAMING Tweets - Trump believes all that. That's the nature of this kind of mental illness. They believe what happens in their own world. For him, all those conspiracies are completely real. As is his belief that he cannot lose anything, ever.

Meaning he doesn't see any danger from lawsuits. He is right, everybody else is wrong.

All his life, he's won lawsuits because he's sued the little guy, and bankrupted them.
That ain't gonna work against the government.

Yes, before Monica. Not policy related, just his general treatment of women. As a strong, independent woman yourself, I would think you would have held the same opinion.
