I don't pay a lot of attention to avatars here, but I was reading an older thread just now and noticed oldfella's.
Talking a page from Tamar's playbook, I did a quick Google search of his username. There's a Georgia-based board and assuming it's the same person, he last posted there this Wednesday. I'm glad he's not dead from COVID but nice of him to go chicken out because he can't handle the heat here.
I searched his username a few days ago and saw the same thing. The first Google hit, though, yields some personal info that would have even Dayton saying, "Are you really that fucking stupid?"
I can't say I wanted him to be dead. I am ok with him still being around. Still, a lot of his problems around here were of his own making and he just could not get it. I get that many of the poor reactions I have around here are from my own choice of words and introductions, and if people do not want to look deeper than I am actually good with that. However, when you looked deeper into him things just seemed to get worse and worse. There has to come a certain point where everyone is saying you have a problem with racism and if you do not want to be racist you have to look at yourself and wonder WTF are you doing that makes everyone feel that way as they get to know you more. Things change and people try to be better. If black people come up and say honoring confederate racist heroes or waving the flag of american racism has a offensive meaning to them, I want to stop doing it because Black Lives Matter. I get he did not invent those things, but you do have to actually walk away from them and drop them to not be racist. But we still have @Uncle Albert burning the tiki torch for his white nationalist comrades.
I don't know what they saw, but without registering I only got a home town. He is still not even close to dayton levels of self identification. Even if his real name was available after you register he would still have to do more because dayton put up his employer's website IIRC. Yes, OF is dumb as a a stump, but he was a poor substitute for a dayton. He is on the road to daytonland, but he is a stop or two before there.
I thought he actually had some empathy. The look as T sank her teeth in his neck was almost thankful.
