A 40 degree Celsius heatwave sounds crazy because I don't understand how hot that actually is in Farenheit. After googling the conversion, it turns out my area has already had 16+ days of 40+ C weather, including eight days straight in June (and probably another two weeks' worth over the next month or two).

But then I remembered it doesn't snow where I live, and nearly every building and car has AC here. So good luck, Europe.

Yep, AC in homes is very rare in the UK - I'm lucky my lab at work has it! My car does, but it's a good five minutes for it to cool her down if she's been sat in the sun.

Just be thankful they supposedly fixed the Walkie Talkie in London, otherwise the news would be full of stories of people and cars being melted by its solar death ray.
