It just looks like a Phoenix to me.

I've lived in Phoenix, Arizona for nearly 50 years. Literally everywhere here has some variation of a Phoenix in their corporate logos and such. I've basically seen every variation there is, and this looks like a perfectly normal and boring Phoenix.

The "88" and "1488" stuff is a little on the nose though.

Not that obvious. What are the reasons?

I first came across the "88" thing back in the 90s when cops in Tampa (deputies actually, but whatever) busted one of those assholes. I vaguely remember that when he was arrested he was yelling "88!" and the deputy talking to the press explained that it was shorthand for "Heil Hitler", so I've known about for a while, but that doesn't make it common knowledge.

True, but thanks to the internet, far more light has been shed on the subject. Like I mentioned to @Jenee above, there has been significant major media coverage on it, especially after Trump's association with neo-Nazi groups and the whole "1488" and "blood and soil" bullshit started coming to light. Of course, it is important that such information gets shared, so I still talk to people about it. Sad to say, on Twitter, Instagram, Facebook, and TikTok, there are a metric fuck ton of Nazis. :/
