Yeah, been seeing discussion of these fuckwits a bit over the last couple of days. One of the reasons that Australians will often have an interest in US politics is that our right wing will try to import wedge issues from the US, this seems like the latest such thing.

Fortunately it isn't working as they would like to this point. At the recent federal election the conservative government ran a couple of virulently anti-Trans candidates as clear weather balloons, and they suffered a backlash in the seats where they did so.
