I figured she’d wait until there was a Republican in the White House before suggesting that. https://thehill.com/policy/internat...stage-for-us-to-use-military-force-in-mexico/ Let’s see how many people come out to condemn this idea.
Look, we know these fucks have the same "I wish we could just wipe out (insert ethnic group)" conversations around their dinner table as their Archie Bunker voters. We always knew it. Hell, Rush Limbaugh "disguised" that shit as "jokes" when I was in high school. The only spooky part is how they think Trump existing gives them a permission slip to toss the masks off. Trump existed in the 80's-90's too, and we always knew what he was. What's different?
Fucking bullies the lot of them. Mexico nationalizes its lithium supply, and a few weeks later, the US decides that Mexico needs a good strong dose of "freedom."
Just to add some context to this... Don't send in troops unless it's a special unit to get our people out of there. Ban all travel to Mexico and seal off the border. Mexico's problems shouldn't be our problems.
Graphene batteries ends the lithium cartel over night. It's not like graphite has to be run through a fucking transporter to turn into graphene. What's the fucking holdup, scientists?
Normally I'd think this was one of your thread deflection attempts, and it probably is, but I also didn't recall that Lindsay, bless his heart, earned the Lady G nickname, and wondered when did Lady Gaga dive off the deep end...
Isn't Matamoros one of those Maquiladora zones where American companies can skirt paying taxes and avoid labour laws?
Yeah, and at one time, US military involvement in Vietnam was going to be strictly limited to military advisors. We saw how well that worked out. "Seal off the border." You mean like this? I'll pass. There's an easy way to solve the drug cartel issue. Do what Portugal did and decriminalize the stuff. They've seen a dramatic reduction in the number of addicts in the years since. Not to mention a drop in other crimes as well. Sure, that's not as easy as enacting draconian measures and doing things like sealing the border, from a "Pitch them to the rubes so they'll vote for me stance," but it's proven to work. It also ensures things like freedoms being protected. We wall ourselves off like the Soviet bloc did and we'll wind up just like them, or worse.
decriminalizing/legalizing brings a few other benefits. Not the least of which is regulated, safe supply. It also can undercut illegal production and distribution so significantly as to make it unprofitable. The price of good weed here is a quarter of what it was 20 years ago.
On every board on the Mexico shootin I suggest they were there to buy drugs and makes the maga heads explode
The first mass produced graphene battery came out less than 10 months ago. It's still considerably more expensive than lithium. It's got great potential but you guys are acting like some of the best scientists in the world are slackers because they haven't solved everything yet. Hell, NASA-SABER has been researching this for flight capability for a decade.
I'm disappointed. This would be far more interesting if it were a lefty pop artist calling to invade Mexico.
That might solve part of it, but after learning about the geography of Mexico, and hearing about how one of the cartels basically took over production of avocados -- decidedly not a black-market good -- in one state, I'm not convinced that'll be enough. Government power, even to the point of maintaining basic law and order, is super difficult to project in that country.
Mexican Cartels are more accountable than American Police. https://apnews.com/article/mexico-missing-americans-cartel-e35e8c6fcda926e5c2fb8f896aa91f4e In reality they just want to turn the heat down so they can get back to work.
One of my photographers shared that on his Instagram story yesterday with the caption, "Today I learned the cartels have PR departments." And he's from Brownsville.
