Is one of the most insane thing that's ever entered the public discourse and to an extent the public legal environment in the wake of Citizen's United vs Hilary Clinton. Now a small seaside town in Delaware has voted to give them the vote in local elections - it still has to pass state muster due to the nature of voting laws in the self-described 'First State:' https://www.cbsnews.com/news/seaford-delaware-corporate-voting-llc-trust-elections/
I'll believe corporations are people when we execute one for murder, or deprive one of the ability to earn a living for a decade or two for committing theft.
Do you have any particular devices that might be useful? Something to pound the dough. Ok, but you know the chemicals in the dishwasher pod do a number on bodily fluids. Between that and the heat nobody knows where the rolling pin has been.
Stand mixer for my dough and cake batter. I'd better not find your batter in there. Rolling pin only gets used for tenderizing meat since I can't roll pastry worth a damn, so you may as well finish that one off yourself.
If you don't know how to make turkey juicy without injecting shit into it, you have failed this kitchen.
Always incredible how America touts itself as the world's champion of democracy while at the same time trying the most vile and disgusting ways to subvert it
Your government cut off people’s access to their bank accounts because they we’re protesting the government.
Yes, that is allowed when you enact the Emergencies Act here in Canada and it lasted for around 5 days I believe What does that have to do with America being a joke when it comes to democracy?
Okay so how’s this work? I think the trailer park my PawPaw left me and my brother is registered in DE. (My father might not be MAGA but he is still a traditional Republican at heart so fuck taxes and fuck liability.) But my brother now lives in Vietnam. Do we both get a vote or as the American based shareholder I get First Dibs?
does he mean the grifters that descended on the capitol? lol-sure... I mean, it's not like they were committing wire fraud and various other financial crimes or... oh, wait... Never mind...
why does Bill Carson believe Canada's government shouldn't have frozen the assets of domestic terrorists?
Eh, I think domestic terrorists is a bit of a stretch One of their leaders, Pat King, is a textbook loser racist cunt - like a lot of these people. Specifically he has a huge problem with Sikhs and how they've overtaken the trucking industry out here, but those guys bust their asses while people like Pat sit around, drink beer and make internet videos about "the brown people" taking their jobs
I was going for effect as "nuisance" is too understated. but yeah... they're really just grifters riding on the neo fash band wagon (there's a lot of cross pollination with more organized white nationalists/far right types, so neo fascist is pretty reasonable). That said, having had them storm through my neighbourhood several times, they do manage to leave a trail of violence and attempts at intimidation behind them.
They marched through the Market a few times, and have attacked a few folks who heckled them. There's even a list at St Stephen's church of several of them they've had to take restraining orders against for the threats made to the church and it's staff/congregants because they hosted clinics and the general reputation for humanitarian causes. The white christian nationalists are threatening one of the oldest anglican churches in toronto... that's a head scratcher
