My name is Elim Garak's designation at Cardassian school in the book "A Stitch in Time", which was actually written by Andrew Robinson himself

A board I used to post at has a member with the user name Ralph124C. He was inspired by the shitty SF story Ralph 124C 41+.

I am on my third nick online. I started with Simba, but quickly grew out of that after TLK left the theaters. Then I switched up to Safari but that got harder to hold onto without a number. I lost interest in trying to fight for nicknames or number them after Simba. I needed something that was referential, but no one was ever going to take. So I took mine from a bad sub translation from a one episode sailor moon sub boss. The boss was Telelu from the Witches 5 in S and she had one episode with plants. VKLL subs put her name as Tererun because of how it sounded with the Japanese voice actor. It was more like Tererune, but it did not have the E at the end.

No one ever takes it. Of course, I have had a few throw away sock nicknames. The only other sewmi nick I have came from WOW where I named my rather stupid rogue Shureloche and ran with that on some gaming message boards. I did it because the intelligence stat was low and I was always getting lost and fucking up spelling so it fit. Then every Voice chat I was in someone couldn't figure it out and mispronounced it so it was fun to stay with. No shit sure loshe became a sort of thing in my guilds. I really should have been name Ryoga or P-chan given how I always got lost.

I've been using Kommander slightly longer than I've been using the internet.

Back in ancient times, when I was in middle school, some people started calling me Admiral for some reason. I felt accepting that name would have been too arrogant of me, and suggested a lower rank. "How about Commander," I said, "that sounds pretty cool." So, they started calling me Commander.

Shortly thereafter, I changed the spelling to Kommander to be more unique. The letter K kind of looks the the letter X, and back in the 90s, the letter X was magical in ways that were eXtreme to the maX.

I don't think I've ever changed it here, but at another, now defunct, board I used to post at, I once changed my name to Lieutenant Kommander one time when everyone was mad at me.

Okay, so you're suggesting that because some middle school friends of mine were mocking me in good fun, I should have spent hours planning how to kill five people quickly and quietly enough that none of them were alerted before I got to all five, and then dispose of five bodies with an eleven-year-old's upper body strength, no access to a vehicle, and a $10 budget for murder and corpse disposal supplies?

That's dumb. Even if I could have pulled it off, why would I want to put in that much work over something so trivial?

Mine is just because I lack imagination. But, the password (not here) is a randomly generated password from a website I used to go to while using another person's computer. So, I memorized the password so I didn't have to keep changing the password. It's been nearly 20 years and I still have yet to have anyone hack that password.

My current username is a long story, but my original username was just my first initial and my last name, back before I really understood what people could do with that kind of information on the internet. In fairness, though, this was the late 90s, early 2000s, and the internet was still growing by leaps and bounds.

Hey! I just like it when you show up! It's good to see you around!

Lol. No. It’s truly a random group of letters and numbers. It’s my password for most gaming and streaming services. It’s taken nearly 15 years for UA to remember it. He plays STO for me. I just can’t wrap my head around all the variables to make that game work.
