After being one of the definitive game companies of the first few decades of gaming culture and giving us hits like Civilization and F-15 Strike Eagle, Microprose is coming back. They are filing the same niche as before, largely war simulation and strategy games. They've got a squad tactics game, a late-80s NATO vs Warsaw Pact fleet simulator, and a WWII aircraft carrier game series coming out. But the one that I think has the most promise is B-17, Queen of the Skies. Up to 10 player co-op game in VR where you crew a B-17 and try to equal the Memphis Belle's record of 25 sorties over Germany. Anyway, fun to see a legend get its act together.
They could go oldschool and do a new X-com game based on Qspiracies called X-com Q. It would be hillaryous to have 5G and a secret transdimensional pizza parlor basement on the research tree. Get it, hillary ous. I will be here all night. But seriously, new X-com please.
I know this is old, but I just started a new campaign on X-com apocalypse and it is still a great game where you can develop a team to protect the city against aliens attacking. They even give you a faction to plunder for guns and money. I really enjoy their style of game.
