No, I'm saying there's only so many butcher, baker, and candlestick maker jobs to fill, and that you don't know how to structure a society.

And that has exactly fuckall to do with the ongoing, real-world demand for skilled trade workers.

Maybe this dumb country shouldn't have downsized and outsourced the past 40 years.
Maybe complacent idiots like you shouldn't have sat on their asses on election night for those 40 years.
Nah, it's college kids. They did it.

I did 8 years of college and realistically could have probably gotten 90% of the stuff I needed to know done in 3 years. Lots and lots of filler, but I wouldn’t call college completely useless as a whole.

I really do wish I had taken some time to do an auto repair class and maybe another language.

You could never have fixed UA, and he speaks a language no-one would understand even with a Babel Fish.

I am pretty sure I could fix UA with a box cutter, and a sewing kit. How hard could it be? I saw an old video on it called I spit on your grave. it seemed pretty easy if you ask me.

I’ve never looked at college/university as a prerequisite for a job. Sure, some jobs, like medicine, need more education than other professional occupations. The classes I took were out of curiosity - like scriptwriting and so, so many writing classes (I like to read). One of these days, I may take underwater basket weaving, just so I can say I, a bleeding heart liberal, took that class.

Back in the late 70s/early 80s, everyone was pushing for “you need to go to college” which I adamantly refused. If I needed more education to prepare me for living in the adult world, it should have been included in the previous 12 years. And it wasn’t as if I was learning anything new in 4 years of high school. It was all just a rehash of everything I’d learned in the previous 8. And to be completely honest, …. everything after like … 4th grade (algerbra) was a repeat. I suppose, band (in 5th grade) could have been considered new, unfortunately, my family moved halfway through my 5th grade year. The school I’d been in started band in 6th grade. the school I moved to started band in the 5th grade. It’s really the only thing I regret about my education.

algebra was not trig which was not pre-calc.

middle school sciense was not earth science, which was not biology, which was not chemistry, which was not physics.

I will grant you that college did rehash some shit, but there was more on the top end.

Ity is not that you do not learn stuff in college, which is where you and your cum nozzle are wrong. It is just that what you learn is not really needed, or is archaic once you reach the working world. It is a good base that might be able to show you can learn and adapt if it wasn't for the reality if you do a lot of busy work you can normally pass a class even when you are mostly wrong or not grasping the concepts. The problem is when you are paying for a degree and show up it is normally good that most colleges give you one because no one will ever hold them accountable if you happen to be Donald Trump.

This is one of the reasons we have licensing and license renewal in many areas. Sure great you showed up for the classes and a teacher signed off that you passed, but we are going to give you a little independent testing because teachers lie. It would be great if there was some form of licensing for politicians.
