Agreed in general, but there should be more reflection on what a democracy is, or ought to be. There's going to be an election between two candidates who are wildly unpopular with the public and both of whom have a policy platform way out of sync with public priorities. This would be the case even if Trump were barred from running. It's fairly clear that while there is voting and a lot of the trappings of democracy, the system as it operates has filters in place - financial, ideological and others - which do not lead to the will of the people being implemented.
