So this tactical genius started his war by cutting off his 68 year old father's head and doing very little for two whole hours until the police caught him.Even as a lone wolf terrorist this guy wasn't all that impressive.

It sort of sounds more to me like this guy freaked the fuck out on his dad who was supporting him because he felt like a loser being 30 something and still getting grounded for staying up too late roleplaying a revolutionary with his MAGAt friends. He probably didn't dump the garbage and his dad had to interrupt him on his pretend military broadcast to the other grave chucklefuck seals. So he has an episode and kills his dad, realizes he fucked up, runs away for a couple of hours until the police find him crying somewhere and coax him out of his hole to arrest him. Then instead of saying all that he started roleplaying commando and said he was a militia member fighting the great war.

At least when some nutjob loser D&D kid hacks his parents up because he was roleplaying the newspaper does not pretend like there is some great military threat to us all by the loser. Now we have to pretend like this guy was a threat to us all? These guys were always around killing their parents like this. He posted his motivations in a public 14-minute video. It's not like it was a murder-suicide where the killer's motive only comes out weeks later after investigators find a handwritten manifesto. The motive was already publicly available before he was even arrested.

I am suggesting exactly that. If he wasn't white, there would be no pictures of him circulating, and we wouldn't know his name for a week.

If he were also LGBQWERTY, and expressed some desire to kill straight whities, it would take a fucking year of FOIA requests and legal battles to make it available to the public.

According to this, the Tennessee police gave inconsistent information about the shooter's gender basically right in the immediate aftermath of it. But it seems unlikely that they were trying to hide that the shooter was transgender. As to the release of the manifesto, it's pretty typical for law enforcement to try to keep details of active investigations under wraps, regardless of what they have to do with. I'm sure if it was worth my while, I could point to a half-dozen investigations where details of what motivated a suspected shooter were not disclosed for about as long as these were.

The summary below talks about why law enforcement tried to withhold the writings here from the public: fear that the writings would inspire/enable copycats. Now it's certainly possible that the officers here were lying and were really concerned about trying to protect LGBTQIA people. Because we know how woke cops are in general, and particularly those from below the Mason-Dixon line. But if you want to provide some evidence that they or any other police hung straight white male killers out to dry but deliberately protected information about non-white killers out of PC-ness, it would be nice.
