https://variety.com/2024/film/news/...edebiri-geraldine-viswanathan-1235890815/amp/ Ayo Edebari (who's been having an amazing couple years if you weren't aware) has pulled out of Thunderbolts. I have a feeling it's going to be an even bigger bomb than The Marvels.
Also the first two Sam Raimi/Tobey Maguire movies were pretty good. Haven't watched either in a long time, but I assume they hold up alright.
Even you admit the Venoms were pretty good. Their only on-record (box-office and critical) stinker of the new MCU-sharing era was Morbius. Kraven and Madame Web don't give me cause for celebration, but they're not actually out yet, so we don't really know.
Maybe. But there’s a zero percent chance I let my kids watch Deadpool so good luck on the merchandising.
You inspired me to watch Venom 2 for the first time. I didn't really care for Venom 1 all that much but I thought Venom 2 was pretty decent for what it was, other than the after credit scene. I'd give the following ratings for the Spider-films since 2000 (graded on a scale for comic book movies, where 4 is a classic that deserves to be ranked against any type of cinematic experience, 3 is a good comic movie, 2 tends to be pretty forgettable and/or flawed and 1 is an active insult): Spider-Man: 3 stars Spider-Man 2: 3.5 stars Spider-Man 3: 2 stars The Amazing Spider-Man: 2 stars The Amazing Spider-Man 2: 1.5 Stars S-M: Homecoming: 3 stars S-M: Far From Home: 3 stars S-M: No Way Home: 3 stars Spider-Verse 1: 4 stars Spider-Verse 2: 3.5 stars Venom 1: 2 stars Venom 2: 2.5 stars Morbius: 2 stars
Crew member dies on the set of Marvel's Wonder Man series (avclub.com) Also, Wonder Man? Jesus Christ.
It was gonna be a joke of it being this, and then Wolverine complaining, and it changing to the real title, but since it leaked, the joke was spoiled. Hugh Jackman tweeted a title logo of "Wolverine & Asshole" so they still got a gag out of it.
Ruffalo confirms he's going to be Hulk in "Captain America: Brave New World". Variety is trying to cover it up by saying "he misspoke". Come the fuck on. You've got Abomination, Leader, General Ross, and Betty Ross, but you're not gonna have Hulk? Bullshit. https://comicbookmovie.com/captain-...ain-america-brave-new-world-a209334#gs.4y0mpg
Amy Pascal was asked if there'll ever be a live-action Miles Morales, and she said "not until we make two more movies". Those would have to be Spider-verse 3, and Tom Holland 4. Naturally, one assumes Holland passes the (live-action) torch to Miles after that. https://comicbookmovie.com/spider_m...r-live-action-miles-morales-a209340#gs.4yy6c1
Tom Holland is still young. Studios know they can get at least two good movies out of him. And. And they will have to build up Miles Morales in such a way that it doees’t send white supremacists into overdrive getting ahead of hte movie and initiating anti propaganda before it even starts.
Sony could have followed up with the seeds they planted in Homecoming when they were trying to set up Donald Glover as the Prowler, but they didn’t.
The reviews for "Madame Web" are in. Eeet's steeenkyyy! https://www.darkhorizons.com/the-madame-web-reviews-are-in/
They've got some time for the rest of the Young Avengers or Champions to assemble. Interestingly enough, the Young Avengers had an Iron Lad among them since it was pre-Ironheart, as well as Wanda's kids.
Love the logo. Hope the MCU does a cameo with Chris Evans and/or Michael B. Jordan passing the torch to Joseph Quinn. Still not necessarily convinced that Pedro is right for Reed, unless they play Reed in a very different way than he has been in the comics. Seems like Ben should be way way bigger than he is depicted in this. I hope they do not spend a ton of time on H.E.R.B.I.E.
It looks like it's in the 60's, and that they're going for a non-parody version of Venture Brothers in tone.
I can't believe they hired a bunch of gay communist visible minority no-talent nobodies just to meet their diversity quotas. Truly, the West has fallen.
It would have to be something like that. When you go back along the pre-Iron Man MCU timeline..... The Eternals operate in secret. The Wakandans operate in secret. The Sorcerers Supreme operate in secret. Captain America is known as a character in comic books and USO shows, but him being a real superhero is kept secret. Ant-Man operates in secret. Iron Man finally becomes the first publicly revealed superhero. All the Avengers (including Cap) are outed at the battle of New York. The Fantastic Four aren't secret type heroes, they're pretty public. Gotta be an alternate 60's and then they cross over.
