Funny, but wouldn't it be a bit more Trek if you made a joke about what they call a quarter pounder on DS9? What? A Quark Royale with Cheese.

my mind went into a whole routine about how Quark couldn't legally call it a quarter pounder because he was taking .05 pounds out with the replicators which really made it a fifth of a pound, and he was replacing the rest with hollographic beef.

I know, even my references are tldr.

It makes me feel old, but I also like patting myself on the back for knowing these "new classics" were special when they were new.
    I can't think of one I didn't see coming.
    Even "Robocop".
The boomers were the scoffers, and I just knew they were wrong.
The only one I've been wrong on, and it was in the other direction; I thought people would have embraced "The World's End" as the best of the Cornetto trilogy.
Nope, its been "Hot Fuzz" for some reason. I don't get it.
"World's End" had all the funny and gore, plus tear-jerking.
Thought for sure that'd push it over.
    Ah, well.

Well, as someone who adores Hot Fuzz, I personally just think the characters are more interesting, the satire more biting, and I adore Timothy Dalton's performance. My wife and I love running up to each other and yelling "I'm a slasher...of PRICES!"

Plus Hot Fuzz appeals to Brits more by making fun of Yank-style cop films whilst also remaining true to the sort of comedy we invented and you keep nicking.

Like The Office, but with cop memes.

Though I will give you Brooklyn 99. That was good.

Yeah, female beaty standards can be damaging and downright deadly. Male beauty standards end up being physically fit.

Just in walking women have jammed their feet into high heels and too small shoes to the point where their feet have been broken and deformed crippling their movement. They have used poisonous cosmetics. They have stretched their necks. They have injected silicone into their bodies.

OMFG there is no both sidesing this fucking thing because you feel a little bad because you do not go to the fucking gym enough.

    That's horribly reductive.
You do realize toxic masculinity ideals harm men too, right?
    Look at James Ellsworth:
You know what they called him? The Chinless Wonder.
No amount of working out will give him chiseled features.
Not to mention hair loss, too much / too little body hair, being short, and oh yeah having a small dick.
There absolutely is a both sides to this. It would be searingly ignorant to claim otherwise.
