    Here's hoping the ISPs don't cave in to pressure.

    Though I've never been clear on when ISPs do and don't release information. I mean, what is the situation there?

    AFAIK if they are subpoenaed, they have no choice but to comply.

    Of course they have a choice. I would give them a list of Chinese IP adresses or something. They server failed and that info is lost, etc.

    Good luck with that. It works really well with the RIAA. They found out so very well just how "broke" their defendants were. If I recall correctly, most of the $500,000 fines were settled for 5K, and even then, most of the defendants didn't have the money.
