As I said, Baylor will play some ranked teams. What's with this "you" shit? Can you read? I am not a Baylor fan, but I know a good football team when I see one. As for the vaunted B1G, I'm just gonna leave this here...
More astronauts come from Ohio than any other state. So not only is living there so bad that the state is depopulating, but its so horrible that it causes its citizens to FLEE THE PLANET.
So what your saying is only SMART people like the ones from OHIO are going into outer space.. Hmmm thats terrible..
And Auburn is up 13-0 so far in the Deep South's Oldest rivalry. We'd pull ahead with a win as currently the series is tied up 54-54-8.
I still haven't completely recovered from Saturday night's game. I surprised y'all didn't hear me screaming from wherever you are.
We're each playing top four teams soon, lose and we can settle this in Dallas. We've already beat one SEC team this season, what's another scrub to finish the season?
No "may" about it--Pinkel's already said that Franklin will start. Hell, he probably could've played against Kentucky, but there was no need, so he got a couple weeks extra rest for the shoulder. This is a good thing. Gonna need him in there and playing well to finish strong and clinch SEC East.
So I saw some article on the 'Net that wondered what would happen if either 1-loss Auburn or 1-loss Mizzou won out. Where they'd end up ranked, the impact on the Bowl game match-ups, etc.... It said that a 1-loss Mizzou team likely would not jump ahead of a 1-loss Clemson team in the rankings, and I found that to be rather ludicrous. In that scenario, they're essentially saying that a blowout loss to a then-3rd-ranked Florida State team would be a "better" loss than a double-OT loss to a Top Ten South Carolina. What say you, Wordforge? What constitutes a "better" loss? In such a scenario where does a 1-loss Auburn or Mizzou team end up? How would it compare to hypothetical 1-loss teams like Oregon, 'Bama, Clemson, Oklahome State? Assume for the sake of this exercise that Florida State, Baylor, and Ohio State all remaining unbeaten. Annnnnnnnnnnnd...GO!
If Missouri wins out, they will definitely pass Clemson. Missouri has to play Mississippi and Texas A&M, if they won those they would play either Alabama or Auburn in the SEC title game. Clemson has to play The Citadel and South Carolina. Clemson will not play in the ACC title game. Auburn plays Alabama, if they win they would play in the SEC title game against Missouri or South Carolina. If Missouri or Auburn win out, they will have a strong argument for the National Championship game. Oregon plays Oregon State, then the PAC 12 title game against UCLA or Arizona State. Florida State plays Florida, and the ACC title game, probably against Duke. Ohio State plays Indiana, Michigan and the Big Ten title game, probably against Michigan State. Baylor plays Oklahoma State and Texas. Oklahoma State plays Baylor and Oklahoma The Big 12 does not have a title game. There are still several huge games left to play Here's how I would rate the teams chances, if they keep winning. To move up they would need a team above them to lose. Alabama Florida State Auburn Missouri Baylor Ohio State Oregon Clemson Oklahoma State South Carolina
If Mizzou beats the #1 team at the end of the year in the conference championship, and its only loss is in double-OT against an SEC team when the Tigers' starting QB was injured, and it beat several SEC teams with the backup . . . how does it not wind up in the top 2?
What happened to the Ducks? They were favored by 20 and lost big to the U of A Mildcats. Oh, and nice job Sun Devils!
I don't watch a lot of college ball, but did anybody else see the end of the BC-Maryland game? It was crazy. BC was down by 4 with just a few minutes remaining, then bam, a 78 yard TD pass. They fucked up the PAT, ball goes in to the Maryland endzone, where it,s picked up by a Marland player who runs it 100 yards for a safety. Now the game is tied at 26. MD does nothing with their possession, BC takes it down about the 31, 2 seconds left, and the field goal is wide. Game over! But no, some sort of penalty, they're called back out, this time it's through the uprights, BC wins! I was only sort of watching in a bar, so some details might be slightly off, but I'm pretty sure that safety was a very unusual play, certainly not something I've ever seen before.
Woot! Another solid win by Mizzou, and they're bumped up to #5 in the AP Poll! Next challenge--shut down Johnny Football and the Aggies and punch their own ticket to the SEC Championship in Atlanta and face the winner of Alabama/Auburn! Also, damn, does nobody want to win the Pac 12?!? WTF is up with that? OSU showed Baylor how to play on both sides of the ball! Florida has sunk to new depths. I think Michigan State will give Ohio State a good game in the B1G championship. Duke is a pleasant surprise, but will run into the Florida State buzzsaw at the ACC Championship game.
