I made cabbage, potatoes, and pork.

We used to have a Waffle House, but then they tore down all the hotels to build new ones, so we don't have one any more.

Waffle House is an American institution. They need to build you another one.

Could really go for a big, fat chicken fried steak with a mountain of mashed potatoes and gravy. Big mug of black coffee.

Don't tempt me. This place hasn't been the same since they tore ours down.

Freddy's is almost asgood as Steak N Shake. They have yogurt sundaes.

I'll go to the one that's 2 miles from my house and get a triple hashbrown scattered, covered, and country at least once or twice a month.

Well, if you're talkin' Irish Car Bomb, none of the above. It ain't an Irish Car Bomb if it's got hard liquor in it other than Irish whisky. Bushmill's, Jameson's, or -- if you really wanna get wild -- Tullamore Dew. The mix may vary, but it must be Irish, which usually means Guinness -- but here in the southwest it's gen'ly too hot for stout, for my taste, so I opt for Harp.

I've sorta been rethinking it, actually, on account of it's 49 fuck-me degrees out and drizzling.

Yeah, way too cold to go out. Ordered in delivery instead; lamb souvlaki plate with "Greek" fries and hummus.

49 is cold??? It's 30 here and that's WARM to me. We got more snow and freezing rain coming.

It's not cold for me until I put on a jacket, and by the time I do that, everyone else is wearing winter gear. It takes a lot for me to get cold.
