After months of teaser clock/theme trailors, I caught the big 2 minute preview the other night when I was watching tv. http://metro.co.uk/2014/04/11/the-f...-day-is-seriously-cool-and-heres-why-4696783/ Just a couple of weeks away, looks quality. Really looking forward to watch Jack doing his thing in London, a city and landmarks I can really relate too. I was a big bit late to the 24 party, but watched all seasons in 2012-2013 so I’m ready. Just saw that its getting broadcast same day in US and UK Haven’t read any spoilers but would guess it will be pretty formulaic…. Jack turns up in London after years off the grid. Jack hunts the bad guys while getting hunted by the good guys, Jack eventually joins team good guy. Jack leaves the good guys when he discovers some dirty insider, Jack saves the day and kills a shit load of people. Jack never needs to go to the toilet. Now does this end Jacks tale or will it be open for another run…………. Oh, and when it gets going, remember to spoiler that shit!
Watched your first one, but I'm gonna hang back on the rest. Too many asking questions, giving us sneaks of the storylines etc etc. I want to get the full 24 experience with this one, what it was like in the days before boxsets. 1 week at a time.......
Yeah. I watched since the beginning right after 9/11. The shot of the 747 being downed in the pilot was cut for that reason. My mom actually got me to watch the show.
I watched a few minutes of a 24 episode and never saw what the big deal about it was. Of course, I never cared for Sutherland much anyway All the advertisements gave me the impression that it was a show that took itself overly seriously. I also never liked seeing people who were in favor of enhanced interrogation techniques being mocked with the "you've watched too much of "24"
Well, given it isn't science fiction my expectations and hopes for spacebattles are not that great to begin with. Like I said, it takes itself too seriously
I enjoyed 24 until it became a parody of itself. But I started giving up in the next to last season and stopped watching completely about a third of the way into the final season. I just could take the same formula again...mole...rogue Jack...stupid [insert official] screwing with the crisis. It was literally the same things each year...and then there were the plots which of course were revealed be distractions for the real plot which was also a distraction for... Like I said, a parody of itself. I'll watch this of course and hope for the best, that the show will get back to it's roots. Wouldn't surprise me if the kill of Jack in a heroic sacrifice.
